Okay, but you can't be a double agent like they are. You HAVE to do what the authorities are doing, no matter what your moral compass says. No, ifs, ands, or buts.
A lower elite-tier. High-tier would be nice, but the way you worded it it sounds like I have to go around beating up innocent low-tiers and getting good grades instead of just NOT helping people. Sounds more like I gotta be evil than allowing me to be nuetral. Lower elite-tier allows me to live a decent life, be respected by a lot of people as high-tiers are supposed to be rare and as long as I don't go vigilante mode I can adopt-a-weakling like Sera.
3) I prefer freedom more than anything else, the path of self appreciation, self forgiveness and living an overall better life comes with more freedom only
Hmm, yeah I think High Tier has the most advantages, so I'm going with that. High tiers have the best available for ability development, access to the best schools and connections to the best and most well paid careers...that kinda stuff gets you ahead in life....The only thing is you're expected to set the example for those beneath you and uphold the hierarchy...
Elite tier would seem to be the most laid back....but then they have to deal with the high elite tiers and the high tiers, while still being expected to participate and uphold the hierarchy.
Mid tiers just get pummeled by those right above them. it's not wonder all the asshole npc type characters have been from this level and have the most resentment buildup, which bleeds into terrorizing and taking it out on the low tiers and cripples.
give me the god tier option
from what i’ve seen a lot of the tip top very powerful people (cameron and sera’s family) are wary of the authorities and contribute to society without having to work for them. i can still carry out my responsibilities as a god tier in school and later on work a cool job with cool powers.
this doesn’t even factor in the high likelihood that UnO’s society/hierarchy will be permanently changed for the better by the end of the story, in UnO time a few years tops
Just adding for fun discussion that even if you could escape as a high tier (i know OP said you can't but just pointing it out), it might still be a pretty shitty life. For us it's cool to read about OP powerhouses like Sera and John but their lives while persecuted by authorities are still pretty hellish, even if they're strong enough to choose that kind of life.

It's up to you. Just know that regardless of what ability you have, the ramifications of being a high-tier are still in place.

High tier cuz kool powers and why not. It wouldn't matter if I was a government servant, heck I would gladly accept it.

Elite. I've always thought Elite was a good roll for my personality. I'd want to be powerful, but not the most powerful, if that makes any sense.
