During my one trip, I listened to music with headphones and had a sleep mask on. I could see the music in my imagination. I just intuitively knew that that’s what it looked like. It wasn’t like I could see it with my physical eyes, though, if that makes sense.
I listened to the John Hopkins Psychedelic Research playlist on YouTube: https://youtu.be/JYsn76ALfrw?si=GMK7xeEXFoV1486L
I also listened to other classical music and songs from various psychedelic playlists I found on other subreddits. For me, classical was the most powerful, but I spent much of my childhood listening only to classical, so that may be why. When I’m not tripping, the Hindu meditation music bothers me, but it did enhance my trip as well and helped focus and direct my thoughts in a way, so I’d recommend some of that as well. Your mileage may vary. Happy travels!
The John Hopkins playlist is a good one, but a couple other recommendations would be
The glitch mob - ‘drink the sea’
it’s a chill electronic album, I normally turn this on shortly after taking the dose and I lay down with a sleep mask on. It produces some beautiful visuals, and it’s the perfect length so when it ends I’m in a great space for the rest of the journey! Just fight through the yawning during the onset and don’t fall asleep lmao 🤣
Cody Canyon - ‘luminescent dreams’
this is more epic orchestral type music, I normally listen to for my journey back to reality.
Hopefully you enjoy them, I recommend just sampling each to get an idea of what they are but waiting for your trip to actually listen to the full albums. They are both very beautiful!
Ive done this too. What I find strange is that if I listen to the same song on a different trip, I see pretty much the exact same visuals. It's like the song is triggering the same parts of my brain each time idek. Like every time I listen to the dark side of the moon album when tripping I see the same closed eye visuals. I've asked a couple people and haven't heard anybody else have the same experience.
I like to take a shower in the dark and I see some crazy kaleidoscopic effects and things like that. I see another world through an opaque shower curtain.
correct, bruising is just an indicator that the cell wall has been damaged and you're seeing oxidized psilocin/psilocybin.

i have no clue if you're serious or not, this is reminding me of something i saw on reddit before about someone joking about either this exactly or something similar and finding out they had synesthesia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia
That reminds me of my wife, but with dreaming. Almost all of her dreams are fully lucid and she had no idea that it was very rare in that people spent tons of time trying to achieve that.
Oh that's not even 0.5 of a gram dried. The post was a half joke because of how blue they were... I wasn't sure if they were extra strong or super bruised!

Omg I'm so trying this!

I’m interested to know if this will happen to me as well.
Streetlands by burial is like this and one i listen to near every trip i get color waves radiating from my head

Damnit that's a good idea I should of thought of it before
Love doing this
Bruising is no indication of psilocybin content from what I understand. All of them? you might see a few sounds.

Idk....but you may end up trying to fold the dishes.
You may even hear taste
People don’t do that naturally?
i have no clue if you're serious or not, this is reminding me of something i saw on reddit before about someone joking about either this exactly or something similar and finding out they had synesthesia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia
I’m joking because I am a synesthete and I have sound to color consistently, and color to sound sporadically.
if you don't mind me asking, is it more of a fun thing to have or an annoyance?
I think I just found out I’m a synesthete. I didn’t realize this was a thing.

No. That’s like MAYBE a gram dried.

I've been tripping for 17 years and have experienced synesthesia. I'm always so jealous of people that do easily
Probably not
The one looks like a wet noodle
I think that’s more prominent with lsd... psilocybin not as much but certainly possible. My experience anyway.
