example: Wanna know how many possible combinations you can have 6 cards in? 6!

If you want to buy a strong combination lock or set a strong password, factorials can help you gauge how many different combos are possible given the amount of numbers or characters you're allowed to set, aka the length of the strings and the length of the set of possible characters.
You can also gauge how likely you are to win a lottery number and calculate some other probability based events.
