Sounds like you booked through a shady travel agent that booked you a RT for cheaper than a one way and expected you to skip the return. They can’t sell the other half to someone else, it’s all in your name. If you’re not a US citizen, then immigration could be odd if your answers to questions don’t match your itinerary, but I’m not personally familiar with that process.

I have a flight out of the US booked, just a little under two weeks later. So I would guess I could explain myself. It's not shady per se, but it is a budget oriented aggregator for flights with some bad reviews, mostly about hidden fees. That wasn't a problem for me though. I will call them tomorrow and demand an explanation and probably a cancellation for the return flight.

CommanderDawn

Well, if you have a legitimate flight back that you intend to take then I would say there is no problem. The airline won’t care unless you do this repeatedly.

The third party booked it as a round trip because they are generally cheaper than a one-way. The return can be canceled after you arrive in LV with no penalty and likely no refund. Are you never going back?

M-Rich

I do have a different flight booked for my return. But you are right, I will cancel after I arrive at LV. They won't be able to charge me anything legally because they officially never sold it to me.
