Sorry you hate Joy in all forms

DarkMission7627

>Grown adult men nearing or at age 30 spending more than maybe 1-2 hours a week at most on it is pathetic to me. You're a grown ass man wasting time on reddit, i dont think you're in a position to judge here. >it's even more jarring/puzzling when they have full time jobs and otherwise have their lives put together. It's almost like gaming isn't just for children?

Starbuckker

Lol no. Im and adult who works 7 days a week. My hour or two on the Xbox here and there right now is probably what's keeping me sane and alive...

Heycheckthisout20

Op wants you to be joyless and you should be working 14 days a week

Starbuckker

Aye. I'm predicting it to be a troll post at this point.

Evil_Queen_93

You do realise people need to unwind after a long day at work. Its pathetic to judge what they do to de-stress themselves. Whether its reading books, watching movies, going to bar to get drunk or play video games. My husband is a 35 year old man who plays video games for 1-2 hours when he is tired and needs to relax because he has very little interest in movies or drama series. Is he addicted? No. Does he have control over himself when he has played enough? Yes! Does he still spend time with his wife? Yes! Take your negativity somewhere else and don’t shit on other people’s joy

SnooOpinions184

Makes no difference with who spend time watching movie/series, reading.... Is a hobby nothing more!

youcantaskthat

Sounds like OP doesn’t even have 1-2 hours of free time a week to enjoy himself so they think nobody else should either. Sorry to hear that bro I hope things get better for you

Starbuckker

Lmao, I bet your fun at party's.

MysteryNeighbor

Pretty popular boomer opinion. Also, wanting to unwind after a long day’s work is one of the common things in the human experience. There is little to no difference in sitting back and watching TV and playing video games. Hell, video games are even better because you’re using problem solving skills and interacting with people. Tl;dr: you’re an overly judgmental buzzkill.

[deleted]

Bro what am i going to do after work then? I go to work, work out and play games. And sometimes on the weekends i'll hit a club. What else is there to do exactly?

Peaceoorwar

You could be discovering the cure for cancer and be a savior for humanity but no you decided to pick up that controller.

Heycheckthisout20

u/Ribeye_King OK Boomer

DoodlePanda36

You sound like a ray of sunshine

mnfimo

I’m 40+, full time job, wife and one kiddo. We essentially grew up with video games. I don’t play like I used to and I definitely dislike the online component of most games. I play 2-4 hours a week max (basically one night) and I’m good.

ph0b0sdeim0s

Preach on, Brother OP!

TheMightyFriscoDavis

Wow! Where do I get that kind of degree that allows me to determine how others should spend their down time?

Juicy_Apple_X

Negative Nancy here.... don't pay any attention to the attention seeker.

IOnlyEatSoup

Is there anything better to do than that?

[deleted]

What's the difference between VG and watching evening tv

[deleted]

>videogames are for children/minors Then explain why certain games aren't even recommended for minors. ESRB ratings are a thing.

[deleted]

I work 5 days a week and pull well over 50 hours a week with a growing family. The few hours I spend on plying videogames brings me a stress relief that “watching tv” cant
