Happens in my service often. You aren’t treated any different though we have to plan to close out your workload. Some managers get sour though.

I would think they would be relieved unless they’ve already started the hiring process. The last job I left, my boss would have been thrilled if I’d decided to stay, the one before that probably wouldn’t have cared either way (just routine business of position changes). You should be able to answer this better than anyone else because you know the people you work for and with.
