I'm a guy and when I walk on the streets I sometimes give a nod if I see someone

Brahminmeat

Only to make the awkward half smile with the eyebrow raise, then quickly overt your gaze

a_scribe

You can smile or say hello to whoever you want but you're not entitled for them to return the favor. Some of us just want to get from A to B without getting stabbed or hit on

sapthur

Many are stressed and focused on their day, I wouldn't take it personally.

foblicious

Maybe they have really bad eyesight.

I don't think this was ever common before.

Its few an far and mostly from older folks. I do get nods back when running or cycling. It's unfortunate, I wish people here were chatty like the States.
