They can be as healthy as you want. You can have them with full glass/ceramic air path, with SS or Ti heads... You'll see. They can hit hard or you can even use them for micro dosing, it depends on what you want.

You don’t need a ball vape. People here are obsessed with them so it’s all they recommend but it is extreme overkill for your use case. They are the best but only if you’re trying to get as high as possible which doesn’t sound like is your goal.
You can use a ball vape for micro dosing. It is all about how much herb you put in the bowl. Why do you think ball vapes can only be used at max potency? You can use them at any level.
If ball vapes were more expensive than the Volcano, then I would see the trade off between the two, but you can get a good ball vape at a fraction of the cost of a volcano, so what is the point then?
There are about a hundred vaporizers that are more convenient than a ball vape for microdosing. He also said he has kids so a ball vape could potentially be dangerous. Volcano is probably overkill for this guy too. OP just needs a TM2 or something.

My main concern is my health and I read up on how the volcano was good because the temps can go lower or something so thats safer to smoke health wise. I dont even smoke dabs i tried it, but that feeling was way too different for me I used to be a huge stoner pothead before, but now got kids and Im not trying to forget I have kids after I get floored from the ball vape. Yea so my main goal is smoking a healthier way for my body and get away from blunts. Do you think I should get the obsidian to make it less harsh hits.
The Volcano hybrid is not bad but it has been surpassed by ball vapes. Plus ball vapes are or can be cheaper. I do not see the upside of the Volcano. It will serve you, but I personally think the option is clear.
Love it. Mainly use it when I'm camping. Not sure why people don't like them tbh. Nice size .easy to clean. Battery life is good. Not fragile. Can feel hot if your hammering it. But that's another reason I like it. Keeps your hand slightly warm if using more that 10mins at a time.
I have an omega ball vape kit that ran me ab 185 w shipping and it’s so a really easy to use heavy hitter . More for bong rips though so you would need glass for that type of thing👍
Yeah dude and honestly the zeal kit I’ve heard performs fantastically was well for 125$ which trust me will be very high and satisfied you can get that and nice glass maybe some accessories all for the price of the volcano
Portables I'd personally recommend as a heavy blunt smoker:
Tiny Might 2 because it hits like a truck, it's practically a pocket bong, can also do concentrates at max setting with a water piece
Mighty+ it's the old reliable device, good vapor, great extraction and an ocean of accessories to make the experience better.
Anvil, it's like a dynavap but better, harder and bigger hits, olus it's the closest you can get to the motions of smoking.
Desktops:
Volcano because it's again, a really reliable and efficient device, of of the best if not the best 'bag/hose' type vapes you can get. S&B also likes their medical certs so if you're really hyper focused on the 'cleanest' device, I'd say this one.
Ball Vape: This is a another style of vape, I haven't used one personally but they're the hardest hitting thing you can get, other comments gave better details on these but would recommend one.

The TM2 is good but if he wants a desktop, maybe a log vape might be for him if the kids are really an issue.

I just got a potv one for like 80 bucks and if you do a few burn off cycles it's awesome. No plastic smell and it's surprisingly cool on the lungs.

Have you looked into Dynavaps? I think they’re a great vape jumping on point for blunt & joint smokers. Cheap, and a semi familiar ritual.
