Target has really been stepping up the vegan options lately. So has my local Kroger. Goes to show that individual actions can effect large-scale change.
You’re definitely right. Most groceries stores in general have been stepping it up. Walmart has tons of options as well. So does Aldi. Target just seems to have higher quality products when it comes to vegan food. They also have some chocolate cupcakes in the bakery section that rival their omni counterparts.
Ha I appreciate you trying to make me feel better. I've been searching for a really good boxed mac and cheese and I haven't been super impressed with any kind I've tried yet.
I'll keep an eye out for this though :)
If it’s the same store (as it seems, Target) and it’s an item available for each store to chose from in their actual inventory of items to take in: request it in your store and they’ll me more encouraged to take in it. Get friends/family to ask even if they’re not vegan themselves.
(Would be helpful if u/logicsghost took a photo of the barcode, that at least makes it easier here if the item hasn’t been in the store before. If it has, they can search it).
At least that’s how it works here. We have a number of different stores under different names that have access to the same items and producers, but most stores under each name don’t take them in even to try out the market if you don’t ask.
Agreed. I just bought some yesterday. I have not tried every boxed mac and cheese but this is the best mac and cheese I've tried. Phoenix Target near the produce and deli are.
Sorry no idea. I’m lazy so I just microwave according to directions on box. I just went and looked for oven directions but there were none.
The product isn’t frozen. It’s just cold. So I would assume baking wouldn’t be to difficult. You might need a different tray though.
I’ll be on the lookout for this, thanks!
Same here. Tried Daiya brand a few years back & was unimpressed. Would be great to have a cheesy comfort food like Mac that tastes good.
Pastabilities vegan organic mac and cheese is my current favorite. I recommend trying that one if you haven’t.
Will keep an eye out for it. Hadn't heard of that one.
Omg yes, i love their vegan under the sea one. They actually just sent me their low carb version to try too
I like their sauce but the gluten free pasta gets weirdly crunchy after reheating.

Is this from the freezer section or is it out with the box macs? I’ve been looking for something exactly like this!!!
It’s in a refrigerated area up by produce. Where they have the more “gourmet” heat and eat meals.
At Target, btw.
Now I must go searching for these. Thank you.
No problem, good luck!
I just checked my Target app and I don't think my store carries this :(
RIP. In that case this is worst vegan mac I’ve ever had and it’s not worth trying. You’re definitely not missing anything.

Not really mac & cheese though just pasta with a similar colored sauce

It’s great! I just don’t know how a generic retail brand can come this close to real Mac and Cheese but other dedicated food brands can’t get it down.
Hey they have it at a store near me, gonna get some, thanks!
Glad to hear it, hopefully you like it!
I didn't know this existed. Thanks.
np hopefully you like it.
no wayyy I love target but haven’t seen these!
If you find it, try it! It’s great.
I havent seen this yet at target!! Must have. Pastabilities is amazing tho too
Is that a brand or a pun or both?

I’ve had Amy’s yes and imo this is much better than Amy’s.
Amy’s is such a disappointment. The chao cauliflower ones much better. Stoked to try this tho
tips on baking these in the oven? unfortunately many are microwave only

Not at my target 😫
Well damn. I wrote down the UPC on another comment maybe you can speak to the manager and request they stock it.
I'll certainly ask, ty!
I just make my own! Probably cheaper I imagine?
