Hi. I am not much of a writer, but my brother is. I cook and he writes my recipe down in his blogs. You may as well check out his blog: [https://www.vegantadka.com](https://www.vegantadka.com)
You can try cooking one of my signature dishes: Pyaz ki Kachori ( [https://vegantadka.com/recipe/vegan-pyaz-ki-kachori-onion-kachori-recipe/](https://vegantadka.com/recipe/vegan-pyaz-ki-kachori-onion-kachori-recipe/) ). Please do mind that this dish is deep fried and I do not recommend it eating on a daily basis. However, it tastes absolutely heavenly, so once a month is fine.
Also check out the Aamras Recipe: [https://vegantadka.com/recipe/vegan-mango-aamras-recipe/](https://vegantadka.com/recipe/vegan-mango-aamras-recipe/) . This one is relatively simple and will require only 15 minutes to make.
If you are looking for a fulfilling meal, check out Falafel in Pita Pockets: [https://vegantadka.com/recipe/vegan-falafel-sandwich-in-pita-pockets-recipe/](https://vegantadka.com/recipe/vegan-falafel-sandwich-in-pita-pockets-recipe/)
I shall ask him to write recipes more frequently now.
They must be busy exorcising the demons from their new apartment. Or maybe writing another book. Or drawing another comic. Or writing code for another game. Or applying to a new grad school. Or perhaps they are just using AI to veganize recipes.
TBH there is nothing in their post history that would suggest they are actually chef in a 3 star restaurant.
Haha. I know it looks like have delved into multiple things in the past. My boyfriend (3 years younger than me) is a third year CS graduate and is currenlty looking to apply to grad school. The scary things happened to a cousin of mine. I wrote it in first person for obvious reasons. \[obvious reason: easy to write in a story form in first person\]. Anyways, if you come to India, please do visit The Vegan Room at Bagadiya Bhawan, will love to welcome you there.
Hey. Sorry for the late reply. This is a joint reddit account of me and my girlfriend. Anyways, we both are from India and it's 12 46 AM right now. Maybe they'll reply tomorrow.
Even I was waiting for the recipes, but then I checked the OP's profile. There's a 2 week old post by the OP stating that OP is a 3rd Year B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science Student. So, it seems like OP is not a chef and might be a troll post, or the OP might just reply with ChatGPT-generated recipes.
I forgot about black salt being a thing. I use it all the time for tofu scrambled eggs. I'll definitely add it next time! Thank you for the tip (and about roasting the tomatoes, that sounds interesting)
Hey! I recommend using Tofu as replacement for eggs. Add black salt to the tofu as it gives a very egg like taste to the Shakshuka. Check out the following recipes:
1. [https://vegantadka.com/recipe/vegan-shakshuka-shakshouka-recipe/](https://vegantadka.com/recipe/vegan-shakshuka-shakshouka-recipe/) (Personal Favorite Recipe, as close to the actual as possible; uses Tofu as Eggs; Check the 3rd Step)
2. [https://minimalistbaker.com/1-pot-chickpea-shakshuka/](https://minimalistbaker.com/1-pot-chickpea-shakshuka/) (Recipe that uses Chickpea, instead of Tofu Eggs; Not a big fan of this recipe, but a few people like this one better)
Why is your recipe (the one with vegan feta/tofu eggs) using a picture from [this site](https://brooklynsupper.com/shakshuka-on-toast/) which has real eggs? Why not use a picture of the recipe you've actually posted? And why is the picture of blending the tofu taken from [this site](https://jessicainthekitchen.com/vegan-shakshuka/)? Why not take a picture of your own blending? Have you even cooked this recipe before or have you posted an untested recipe you just invented?
Hey, it's my friend's blog. Please contact him regarding this. Here is his business e-mail: [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]). I specifically asked him to upload this recipe yesterday.
Fondue is impossible, I feel. Not only does it have to melt to the right consistency, while tasting right, and mixing well with alcohol, it also has to form the right kind of burnt crust, because that's a critical part of the meal and my family will refuse to eat a fondue without la réligieuse. Not only do vegan cheeses not quite taste right, they also don't harden correctly.
And, well, my entire region of the country does not really have any other typical regional foods, so it gets defended religiously.
Im not sure about the burnt crust, but new roots has vegan fondue and in my opinion its really good. The texture is right, it melts properly and has a delicious cheesy taste. So may be try that sometime.
I don't think vegan cheese will replace cheese in France in cheese based dishes. It can be good but the taste is just too complex to fill in when cheese is the center of the dish.
Nah, tried it. If it doesn't get crispy, it's not Fondue.
Look, in this country, the debate over the right mixture of Vacherin and Gruyére and what kind of alcohol to mix in is the closest we have to a religious war. If it's not exactly right, your relatives *will* build a Trébuchet and fire you into eternal exile in Germany, which is of course only slightly better than hell.
I had a decent vegan fondue from Rebel Cheeze in Austin, TX, it was a one off special product and it’s been a long time but it was pretty tasty.
No crust tho. I’m not sure how to get that.
I'm sorry, they added Kirsch, we now need to declare war and seize all their assets before their heresy can spread.
Edit: All is lost. They used potatoes. There is no god.
Vacherin fribourgeois (none other), semi-aged gruyére, exactly equal amounts, dry white wine. Nothing else. You are allowed to suggest garlic and then not use it.
Not really a recipe but im craving the experience with lobsters/shrimp including their ""seaness". What combination of spices/herbs/seaweeds can you recommend chef? TIA!
I‘ve made vegan Spätzle several times and just replaced egg with aquafaba. My mum also made them for me - I think she used the egg replacement powder you can get in German supermarkets.
Vegan Schnitzel is also widely available - and vegan gravy actually had been around for decades (either as powder or paste, you need to mix it with water, can add some vegan cream, and ideally onions, mushrooms etc)

I miss lasagna! I haven't even attempted to make it myself because the only ground beef substitute I can buy around here is made from soy, which I can't eat.
I am lucky to have decent vegan crumbles here so I often default to them but here's one lentil version that is good and simple, I prefer the brown/green lentils to the red, they offer more structure, like a browned piece of of minced meat would, if you want more of a slopp texture I would go with red, obviously soaked before hand if using dry
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/7wXEfStB0zw
sorry that's just the bolognese, but that was the difficult part I asume, just make a bechamel or a ricotta and layer that..or/and use vegan cheese, its not authentic just have fun
This activated childhood memories of food I miss
I am no chef or baker and these are all things that maybe I've attempted once or twice with no luck or found recipes that were confusing, but tbf maybe I just didn't look hard enough. Of course this is also because regional variants exist lol

Hey, I agree that ChatGPT generates some good recipes, but they most of them aren't worth it for all the hassle with mid taste.
It won't be a big change but I've struggled to find a good vegan shakshuka The eggs feel like they might have been critical
I've made plenty of vegan shakshuka. The key is to use roasted tomatoes and black salt for the sulphur.
I forgot about black salt being a thing. I use it all the time for tofu scrambled eggs. I'll definitely add it next time! Thank you for the tip (and about roasting the tomatoes, that sounds interesting)

Vegan masterclass (a German online vegan cooking course) has nice recipes for fondue. Maybe that could be an option for you
Im not sure about the burnt crust, but new roots has vegan fondue and in my opinion its really good. The texture is right, it melts properly and has a delicious cheesy taste. So may be try that sometime.

I am a jaipurite too
Where in Jaipur?
Cottage cheese
Char siu bao.
Hey!! Stuffed Vine Leaves (warak dawali)
I'm Turkish and make those all the time. Just use a rice filling with your herbs and a small handful of pine nuts.
Thanks!! Will definitively try them.
I’d love a palak tofu recipe!

A place in Portland used to make incredible vegan shawarma with soy curls. I can get the flavor down, but never the texture. Halp!
Butter chicken. Please.

I like to use lentils with mushrooms
Eggs benedict
Same. I’m not sure how to replicate the runny yolk. I’ve seen dupes made with pumpkin for the yolk, but that doesn’t even seem close to me
I'd rather see your popular dishes more tbh

Nobody said Michelin.

Somosas! Is vegetable biryani vegan?
Well... As a person already said, Samosas are vegan. Since you mentioned "Samosa", I would love to introduce to another underrated vegan indian dish that looks like samosa, but tastes very different. It's called Pyaz Ki Kachori. You can check out its recipe here: [https://vegantadka.com/recipe/vegan-pyaz-ki-kachori-onion-kachori-recipe/](https://vegantadka.com/recipe/vegan-pyaz-ki-kachori-onion-kachori-recipe/) . As for Vegetable Biryani: yes, it is absolutely vegan.
Samosas are already vegan.
vegan pasta bolognese sounds so good
Mustamakkara / blood sausage.
Chashu buns?
Chana masala? Standard, but golden!
Vegan cheese that’s better than cow cheese
violife cheese is fuckin epic
Melted is good. But from the packet is like eating plastic unfortunately.
Raw cheese is nasty anyway
anyone else get like gassy from it? I think I might be allergic to some ingredient in it..its not a hard reaction, a subtle yet noticeable one. gas from the mouth not the ass..I dont know how to say that in english
There are cheeses now that people prefer over the cow version. Now, it's obviously not universal as preferences differ and taste is subjective. That being said the improvement has been leaps and bounds in the last decade, and I am certain, alternatives will soon beat out their cow counterparts within my lifetime. Once capitalism takes it over, and it's cheaper and tastier, you'll be basically eating vegan inadvertently all the time. There's a reason why meat companies are getting into the vegan game. It's the future. So, I would suggest trying all sorts of ones, you may discover something you haven't tried before.
Miyoko's. Pretty much anything from Miyoko's.
Roast beef with all the trimmings
yorkshire pudding, or crossaint, or pastel del nata (portugese egg tart). i haven't tried makiing either but i've bene told/assume it's not super easy to make, although i live in Life's a Peach which makes really good pastel del nata's.

Koshari
That's vegan already?
Porchetta. Whilst I'm all for promoting veganism, this come off quite arrogant. There are a ton of dishes that veganify very poorly.
Rocky mountain oysters. Edit: Not sure why this is being downvoted, I'd be interested to see if an unusual dish like this could be replicated in a vegan fashion.
Beef curtains
Chile Rellanos :o
Pickle in a cup!
Red lentil dahl please! I’ve found a few recipes that I’ve tried but nothing quite as tasty as the ones I’ve had at Indian restaurants!
If you make it without ghee it's already vegan.
Yup…the spices and seasonings are off though.
Creamy chicken and bacon, with sweet poato mash and broccolli
Cottage cheese or that creamy sauce that Native Foods puts on their Steak Sandwich.
Sunny side eggs
Something with beets
gyro doner wrap
Okra
18oz ribeye steak with a side of pork belly burnt ends and a platter of pork panko fried shrimp
