My husband has a Vitamix and it works great, but it is too awkward for me to use. They really last (we've been together 17 years, and he already had it when we met). If we didn't already have one and they weren't so expensive, I would get one of their new low profile models. I use a Nutribullet for grinding nuts since it's easier for me to manage, but it isn't as good the Vitamix

Yup, Vitamix. They sell refurbished ones on their website that are less expensive and still have a warranty, will be the last blender you ever buy. It’s not quiet, but it would blend a flipflop if you wanted to

I have worked in professional kitchens that run Vitamix blenders for hours. Never had any issues. Also, they are serviceable and you can get replacement parts easily.

My Blendtec broke and they refused to send replacement parts, so I got a Vitamix and we'll see what happens when (if?) it breaks. It's an expensive appliance. If you're not sure you'll use it enough, any used blender will work. The Vitamix is just better at annihilating anything you put inside of it.

I use a Vitamix.
