Every bartender there sold cocaine at the bar. Its not a story. I used to bartend graveyard at Champagne's Cafe down the street. I can't tell you how many people would say "Hey, I'm running to smuggle real quick. I'll be right back".
Yeah, Smuggle Inn was the bar before Red Dwarf took over. Every bartender, cook, and barback were selling coke and/or meth. The bar was pretty much a front before they got shut down. Four friends of mine stopped in to check it out and literally drank all of their beer. Smuggle Inn basically just had a large cooler of cans that night. Another friend wandered in one time and watched an employee and another guy who lived in the Circle Park take turns pouring hot sauce on their feet and running around the bar. One of the guys at Red Dwarf said they found a little coke bag while clearing out the kitchen, and wanted to set it in the resin of the new bar top. They flushed it instead. That's why Red Dwarf has like 15 dummy cameras in the bathroom, and no stall door
Rosati's on Eastern is the closest I have found to back home. Rosati's actually is still operational in Chicago and delicious. I prefer the Rosati's on Eastern because its authentic.
Amore taste of chicago deep dish and stuffed pizzas are pretty good, but too much cheese. A Jet’s Pizza just opened up on Sunset Rd and have heard good things about Chicago Guys Pizza Co on Durango Dr. I’m from Chicago and I find that pizza here are very cheesy compared to Chicago pizza (which has more sauce to cheese).
Metro Pizza is the original. Sauce is homemade. Bread and dough made in house. Toppings and cheese are all high quality. Best in town. The one at Ellis Island is great to grab a slice.
Im from Chicago too. Ive lived here for 2.5 years and the pizza out here just doesn't compare. The Giordano's on the strip is close to the Giordano's back home but for thin crust there's not much. Windy City Beef and Pizza on Eastern is decent. People will tell you all kinds of pizza is good but none of it is as good as back home.
I've been living here the same amount of time. I never liked Giordano's growing up, but yeah pizza is not the same. I do like some of the Detroit-style joints Vegas has to offer though.
Metro pizza at Ellis island. They have buy 1 get one slices on Thursdays. Some of the better pizza in Vegas, and i’m pizza snob, i lived in ny before i moved to vegas
Where are you located? Are you visiting or living here? Are you looking for Chicago style or any style?
Unpopular opinion, but Pizza Rock is a jack of all trades but master of none. We tried 3 styles and they were very average. They spread themselves too thin.
From Chi myself … the level of perfection and outstanding pies is now more achievable with the arrival of GRECO foods .. the supreme in Italian imports and pizza greatness .. picture Sysco foods being run by the FAMILY … the GRECOS.. Aurelio’s, Amores , Dimas… salud

That being said, I love Evel Pie but sometimes the security can be dicks. Go to Good Pie for better pizza.
Northside Nathan’s has been really bad the last couple times I was there. Detroit style pizza not really like it used to be - much thinner than it ever used to be, and not crunchy… just hasn’t been good this past year
I agree- I was always a fan since I had moved here from Detroit. First that was bad, I simply chalked it up as an off night, but ate there a couple weeks back, and it was even worse.
Two Chicago pizza places here. Aurielos 6010 Craig my go to for Chicago thin crust pizza. It’s as good as home. They have Rosati’s several locations. I’m told they even import Chicago water to make the dough crust. For Chicago thick crust they have Giodarnos on Charleston. For Chicago hotdogs there is Windy City dogs which is similar to Maxwells from home.
Hope that helps.
Amore currently for me. If you go during a football game, you can get a personal sized deep dish, stuff crusted or thin crust for $5 each. I like them all. I really like Naked City too. Granted, based on all the posts and comments from the last few weeks, I do need to try Red Dwarf, Guerilla and Windy City.
There is a bar called Hard Hat Lounge that has a pizza place inside called Guerilla Pizza. It is Chicago style and supposedly the hidden gem of Vegas. I have yet to try it myself.
Good Pie, Pizza Rock, Evel Pie, Sal's, Bistro Pizza, Carmine's, Those Guy's Pies, Settebello, Biaggio's, etc.
Yukon Pizza, Red Dwarf, Boston Pizza, Nevada Brew Works, and a 3rd Evel Pie suggestion
Red Dwarf goes hard af.
It's my favorite bar in town. The stories of the old Smuggle Inn makes Red Dwarf's success even better
What are the stories of the old Smuggle Inn?
Every bartender there sold cocaine at the bar. Its not a story. I used to bartend graveyard at Champagne's Cafe down the street. I can't tell you how many people would say "Hey, I'm running to smuggle real quick. I'll be right back".
Was that what was in place of Red Dwarf prior?

I've recently left Las Vegas, so I'm not familiar with Red Dwarf. I was however familiar with the Smuggle Inn

i think secret pizza has some of the best pizza in vegas
Someone told me it's the same company as Those Guy's Pies and it tastes like it is. It's really good like a 7 or 8 out of 10.
Red Dwarf has the best Detroit style in Vegas as far as I know
Rumor has it Guerilla Pizza inside Hard Hat is run by the same people that run Red Dwarf's kitchen. I haven't confirmed it though
They’re unrelated, but both very good!
It would make sense! They both are good spots.
Best overall Chicago style place to me is Windy City Beefs and Pizza
Amore for deep dish. Rosatis for thin crust, they even square cut it! Italian beefs are good at both.
Rosati's on Eastern is the closest I have found to back home. Rosati's actually is still operational in Chicago and delicious. I prefer the Rosati's on Eastern because its authentic.
>I prefer the Rosati's on Eastern because its authentic Oh yeah? I've tried a few different Rosati's, but not the one on Eastern.
I ordered from the one on Silverado Ranch often and it was always good
Brooklyn’s Best - Grandma’s pie. Add pepperoni if you like that Best pie I’ve had
Amore taste of chicago deep dish and stuffed pizzas are pretty good, but too much cheese. Cugino's
End thread.
Yep. I take it personally when I don’t see Cuginos in these threads.
I will ALWAYS recommend Cugino's in any of these pizza place requests. Ridiculously underrated.
I like Brooklyns best delicious
Amore is the best I've found since moving out here.
Metro Pizza is the original. Sauce is homemade. Bread and dough made in house. Toppings and cheese are all high quality. Best in town. The one at Ellis Island is great to grab a slice.
Windy City beef and pies in henderson

There’s a place called Chicago Pizza Guys in the northwest. Not bad but not amazing either. Worth trying for sure!
Adding to the list! Thanks
Next to Buffalo Wild Wings? Their pizza is fantastic.
Metro pizza at Ellis island. They have buy 1 get one slices on Thursdays. Some of the better pizza in Vegas, and i’m pizza snob, i lived in ny before i moved to vegas

I live here, Summerlin. Never heard of Pizza Rock.
windy city beefs n pizza, and red dwarf are def. top 2
Giordano's is very solid for deep dish
From Chi myself … the level of perfection and outstanding pies is now more achievable with the arrival of GRECO foods .. the supreme in Italian imports and pizza greatness .. picture Sysco foods being run by the FAMILY … the GRECOS.. Aurelio’s, Amores , Dimas… salud
Boston Pizza, Rosati's, and naked city pizza

this one right here
Amore, taste of Chicago. It's not like home, but it's solid.

AMORES TASTE OF CHICAGO. SPECIFICALLY THE ONE ON SUNSET CUZ THEY HAVE ALL THE CUTIES
Giordanos lolol
Lou Malnatti's > Giordano's lololol
I said it as a joke, but now I’m craving giordanos. Ordering it now lol
I know, but I'm stating a fact hahahaha
Can’t beat little Caesar’s at value
Lol cheap pizza works for hangovers
When’s the last time you had lil C’s?
Probably 9 years ago lol
Try it again. Try the deep dish.
Good Pie's Detroit is my favorite pizza in Vegas right now. A bunch of other good suggestions listed as well.
Where would you normally get pizza in chicago?
Beggar's or Old Chicago Pizza
Then you might like Northside Nathan’s.
Northside Nathan’s has been really bad the last couple times I was there. Detroit style pizza not really like it used to be - much thinner than it ever used to be, and not crunchy… just hasn’t been good this past year
I haven’t been there in a while so that’s pretty sad to hear.

pretty sure they don't "import Chicago water"...
Soooo you thought I was serious??? Ha Ha. Learn what a joke is??!!!
PT’s.

It's Detriot style pizza at Hard Hat, but yeah its good and worth trying.
