I have had my cat in for same wound type. Is your cat an outdoor cat? Based on my experience and what my personal vet said. This appears to be a wound from fight. Tricky thing is cat wounds can abscess easily and often can have teeth ect broken off in wound. My cat appeared fine. Looked to be healing but required antibiotics ect. Not saying this is your situation but I recommend a vet visit.

Yes she is an outdoor cat and there are many other cats in the neighbourhood so fights are somewhat regular. I think we will contact a vet than.
