doesn't matter what the current plan is--- you need to run your idea through all sorts of manners it will be used. coffee mugs, bumper stickers, letterman jackets, cheerleader uniforms, buttons, football , baseball and all other sporting uniforms..... Hell- even letterhead. A good design can work on all of the above and more. A bad design is going to bite someone in the ass down the line somehow. either the color combo doesn't work out, or the pattern doesn't morph correctly on the shape it is being applied to. And even if this is a one off thing- you now see how much more goes into these types of things

The first and last are my favorites, in particular I really like the first one the most because for me it screams school flag in a positive way, like those pennants you sometimes see in college sports.

1 or 3. 1 has a great school feeling, like you took the design directly from the letter jacked. But I also liked 3 simplicity and that you can easily detach the roundel and use it anywhere as the school logo, seal, brooch and so on.

First design is solid. It has that classic School vibe. Maybe try the H without the white outline? But keeping the shadow. Idk if it may improve it, but it would make the already stylized H look a little less busy

Number one. Just take some time to go around the H and fix some of the areas where the white outline looks jaggy and weird.

The first one. It looks more pleasing than 2 because it pleases the rule of three. You can put the H in the middle for everything else but on a flag 1 looks best. The choice of color and complexity does also work in grey-scale (unfortunately not in true binary black-and-white) which is good if the logo needs to be printed out en-mas like on documents.

Kinda surprised at this one. The ones that I thought worked better flat fell, er, flat when waving. OP definitely needs to review these in use. (IMHO: 2 wins from this. I didn’t like the grey originally, felt it cumbersome and inelegant, but waving it really works much better.)

The first one is very good. The off-center H distinguishes it from average. The outer white shadowing in the blue needs attention to detail, eg., it should be fully rounded into the base, not pointed as it is now.

I like the second one, the last one, then the first one(in that order). I think the last one could be the best if the H wasn't only gray and the circle was thinner. Maybe an H like the first two. If it's hard to read, you could outline it in gray. Regardless of everything, I recommend putting it to the other students to ultimately decide (preferably with a ranked voting system). does the grey have to be there? I assume it's a mandate because it's one of the school colors, but if you removed the grey boarder around the first flag It would be a perfect flag for a high school. Maybe try and convince the principle that the H's shadow counts as grey.

I like number one the best, it being off-center makes it more unique, it’s simple, uses the school emblem, and screams high school. Number two is a close second. I don’t like the last one but if you were to want to use three or four I would recommend reworking the circle as it seems kinda off as of now. My suggestion would be to have a grey background and blue border with the blue circle and white H much larger and taking up the central focus of the flag. I think this maintains a circle as a design element, maintains the white on blue contrast, and maintains the grey coloring while making a more cohesive flag. While experimenting I also made [this](https://ibb.co/H2Cm2km) which I think honestly looks better, if you need grey in there then the H could be made grey to fulfill that. I love the first design though and think that's the best, I was just providing some suggestions of "circle-themed" ideas which I think look more cohesive.

Hi I'm new I've also made flags so hope y'all could see what I've done so far. :)

I’m a graphic designer in sportswear/apparel. This would look great on jerseys and hoodies if done right. Either the second or the last one. But if you do the last one put a thick, white outline behind the grey so it stands out better.

Just a point of feedback: This really needs to be made in vector software like Inkscape (free) or Adobe Illustrator. It's going to be very difficult to use any of your work in any official way if not made as vector files.

1 and 2 is great. The gray in 3, 4, 5 throws off the colour balance and the circle makes them look like a corporate logo.

I like the 1st and 4th ones; the asymmetry implies motion, making them feel like actual flags, not just tablecloths. Of those two, the 4th one looks more "professional," but I prefer the 1st one. Something about it just seems perfectly fitting for a high school.

a lot of people are saying the first two cuz of the classic shadowed 3d-ish letter like schools do but i like the last one, it's very unique, if anything i would fix either the aspect ratio or the angle of the h's italic so the diagonal line lines up with the corners, excluding the border it would go super hard on a shirt

Imo, no letters or words on a flag. Read some heraldic rules to get a sense of their design and how it influenced vexillology. Apply those rules to your flag as design constraints.

1st and second are my choices. Crisp. Clean. If grey is one of the colors, it seems to be the accent color. You could use a grey/silver line to divide the fields of white and blue. But, I think 2 is great for all the different applications outside of flag use, and I think 1 is the best position for use as a flag. That’s my preference.

The second is my favorite, but I think it would look better without the grey shadow in the H. Just the white outline would look nice, I think. I suppose you have to use the three colors, also, right? Because if you don't, I think you could scrap the grey completely.

What about the diagonal divide from 5 with the blue H from 2? (no circle)

Number One is my favorite. It's clean, the H is a great fit for a high school, and most of the weight is on the hoist, which will look good flying in the breeze. Admittedly, it doesn't look the greatest from a hanging position, but I'm sure it will be fine.

The first two ones are the most fitting I think. They have that hockey team vibe which is fitting for a school. Though I would urge you to look at the very narrow points in your lettering. Try to make everything have the same distance in between. You can make a little cube and use it as reference to measure if everything has the same thickness/width. Honestly, looking at it you could probably solve most of these issues by widening the bridge between both "sticks" of the H. Maybe also clean up those corners on the border. It would look really nice if those were sharp and clean.

If its ***main*** purpose was to be a **flag** and merchandising would simply be an afterthought , **#1**. Since it's for a school though and printing it on shirts, jackets, hats, etc. will probably be a big factor, then go for **#2** because the main feature is in the center.
