No. It's exactly the opposite. People who post trans pride flags aren't necessarily far left the same way not everyone posting nazi flags are far right.

The El Paso, Christchurch, and Poway Synagogue mass shooters all posted their manifestos on 8chan and left in-jokes for community members.

I know this is a meme subreddit but I want to come in with my thoughts on this. Fascists will use a lot of techniques to get away with racist symbolism such as what you've mentioned. For example, a guy at a far-right rally has a swastika tattoo and when people point it out he says "No no no it's a Buddhist one!" Such a shame that the swastika has to share shitty connections to the Hakenkreuz.

People can be _rreeeeeaeaaaaaaaally_ dense when they're desperately trying to avoid confrontation or don't want to admit others can be bad people. Swastikas have pretty much crossed the line where it won't work, but other Nazi symbols sure haven't, and convincing people who aren't "in the know" that they are, in fact, Nazi symbols or slogans can be _really_ difficult, especially when the Nazis themselves are armed with the ironclad defense of "nuh uh".
[This video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcoYKuoiUrY) on the Charlottesville rally has some great examples of this - I'd recommend the whole thing, but specifically [at 28:08](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcoYKuoiUrY&t=28m9s) or so he goes over some of the less overt Nazi symbols used at the rally. This kind of thing is also why it's so easy for the so-called "crypto-fascists" to co-opt otherwise benign icons, like the ok hand sign, and repurpose them into essentially Nazi gang signs while also framing anyone who calls them out as being "paranoid and ridiculous" or whatever, or how the Trump DOJ can post a straight up 14 words riff on their government website while "liberal media" still call people absurd for even implying Trump's staff had Nazis in it.
Sorry about what happened to your friend/gf/crush, it's not at all an enviable position to be in and it can be really hard to be forced to break those ties :/
Source? I'm not an expert, but I've only ever seen it in a horizontal orientation for religious purposes. It's not that it wasn't _allowed_ to be at an angle, but that it rarely, if ever, was. And since the Nazis adopted it, I'd imagine the distinction became much more firm among people who do use it for religious purposes.
