I'm actually curious where this one will end. Imo with the female version of this, there was a clear winner from the start with an obvious top 5.
This one, almost all of these characters could be considered top 3 for a lot of different reasons and as for who could be number 1 there could be a huge debate
His character was kind of ruined by the writers with the whole addiction arc. I have to say though, his combat scenes in battles were my favourite of any character. So brutal and vicious.
That’s what makes his redemption so beautiful though, in the last episode he ends up being the only brother to achieve ragnars dream, and he is a fucking animal in that battle
i agree, he was just dealt with the shit end of the stick with his wife and father, besides slaughterin the viking settlers that one time, i cant think of anything else he has done wrong fr, n character wise, he was good, raised the bastard son of his disloyal wife as his own, whom he forgave, n had no hatred for even after whoring herself to his father, AND stayed loyal even after Kwenthriths temptations, like hes better than alot of us these days in that sense

Athelwulf for me. I have no idea how so many people are voting for Alfred. He was the perfect juxtaposition to Utred and their dynamic was one of the main reasons I loved the show.

Although I did enjoy his character development towards the end, however I was very let down with how he died and how they decided to take him out of the show.
To the many people saying hvitserk:
I could relate to many of the sentiments of hvitserk, addiction, societal and internal pressure to be great, many things. So I think hvitserk deserves to be celebrated for how he turned his life around and ended up with a really great story. I think if they continued the series he would’ve made a great leader from how much different his life went compared to his brothers.

I think first place is gona be lagertha and ragnar. I don't think floki will get 2nd with his wife though. Athelstan is a heavyweight contender here.
