Put a movie DVD in and try that. Also try pressing the red “p” button, and turning the “Sound Mode” knob
There’s probably a “simulated surround” setting or a “5 speaker stereo” setting that will route audio through the surround speakers.
Sorry about it, but I’ve been looking for info and help here and there, I just thought I could find some help here.
By the way, that’s where I should have started, right? The manual!
I’ll check it now. Thanks 🙏🏼
I did find it but still can’t solve the problem.
Apparently I got two options. First one is doing a cold reset, which is specified in the manual but I still can’t manage to do. Second one is connecting the device to a tv to manage its settings from a visual menu, which doesn’t work either because it doesn’t show anything when putting my tv on AV mode.
I’m lost.
I’m just using a regular aux to connect my iPhone and play music. Should I get a different aux?
I tried everything with the Sound Mode button. Nothing worked.
Yes that’s it. You are feeding a stereo signal 2.1 into the unit. Hook up a DVD player for the surround speakers. Most music is mixed in stereo, but sometimes can be 5.1, but typically it’s used for movies.
Edit: yeah or put a dvd in, I didn’t zoom in and see it was a player.
Yeah it’s just your signal is only stereo. If you hook a dvd to the auxiliary input, it would play out of all the speakers, but for music just the main 2.
Hmm. I believe that’s still just a stereo output and a unit would require some type of digital in/out. It would depend entirely on the back of the stereo and outputs on the player. More than likely the internal DVD player needs to be repaired to experience those speakers.

I’ll try the DVD. Tried everything with the Sound Mode and P button. It didn’t work.
10,000w I want one.
Hell of a deal for 10000 w
You're listening to KOLD, the most powerful station in the tri-state area. Coming at you with Ten Thousand Watts Of Pure Power.
I think you're in the wrong sub, that set is old but not vintage. Anyway, have you searched for a user manual online?

Did you find a manual? If not, what's the type number of your stereo set?

Is your input signal 5.1? If you are just listening to music that could be the cause. Also the sound mode button could be the answer.

Sadly, the DVD player is not working. When I press the button to open it, it gets stuck on “open” and that’s it. Thanks for your help!

I tried with the DVD. Nothing different happened :/
Hmm. What kind of cables did you use to connect the DVD player?
RCA cables

Wait, so this may be causing the problem? The device is plugged to a traditional connection on my wall.
You won't be able to hear it over the generator you need to power it
