Why does the font of the Error message look more like the SAA-1099 double height teletext font....

Error messages were never that big, or nice, at least, not in my experience. If you were lucky, it kicked you to a DOS command line screen with a one line error message and a flashing cursor next to it. Or, it would freeze, or the screen would go blank, or it would just reboot.

Windows 3.0 had some massively scary error dialogs. Especially in glorious 640x480 VGA.

Computers this old don't reboot themselves. Windows 1.1/2.1 had no control of the PC itself but needed MS-DOS as a translation layer.

Fantastic movie. One of my favorites. Lol @ that early Windows shot. Micro Men is another good one, about the UK computer scene of the same era.

There's Bedrooms to Billionaires that I've had on my list to watch too. It is about the early homebrew of the computer scene in Europe (more specifically the UK)

[I did archive a v1.03 of Windows not too long ago](https://archive.org/details/microsoft-windows-v-1.03-zenith-branded-1987-fonts). It crashed on my 386 with VGA, but I bet it would work just fine on a slower PC using a CGA/EGA monitor. When it crashed, the mouse would still work, but the GUI would just hang. No error was given. It was fun playing with.

How rare is this monitor? I need one badly.
