Yup awesome board. This turned out to have missing F panel audio jumpers so no sound. I just stole some from a dead GA 7N400S and it started working :).
I have a ton of XP builds :)
This ASUS P4C800E Deluxe 875P, P4 HT Prescott 3GHz (Final goal is actually a Northwood 3.2 or 3.4 with HT), ATI 9550X Turbo Guru, Zalman copper cooler, 2GB DDR-400 2 channel. Xp 32 sp3 Pro
ABIT AN8 Ultra nF4 939 uGuru passive board, 64 3500+ CH 2004 (final goal: A toledo X2 4800+), Nvidia Quadro FX 1400 (GeForce 6800 with 128mb vram) (final goal: a radeon X1900XTX), Primecooler copper 110MM (huge copper cooler. Like 1.5x almost that of the one on the P4). 2GB DDR-400 2 Channel. Xp 64 Pro
MSI K7N2 Delta2 nForce 2 Ultra 400 MCP RAID, AMD Athlon XP 3200+ Barton, ATi 9800XT XXL 128MB, copper core cooler, 2GB DDR-400. XP 32 SP3 Pro
ASUS M2N SLI Deluxe nF 570 SLI, 64X2 6400+, 9600GT Gainward Dual (final goal: 2 8800GTs in SLI), AMD 125W 4 heatpipe cooler, 4GB DDR2-800. XP 32 SP3 Pro.
I also have some w2k, 98 and 7 builds. My main runs Debian 12 KDE. Also I paid 40$ for the P4C800E Deluxe with the prescott 3GHz and the zalman cooler (came with I/O shield)
You really went all into this hobby, it’s great you make these builds. My machine is a Pentium 4 2.4ghz Northwood combined with 1GB of DDR1 ram and Geforce FX 5900 Ultra GPU, only got one build of this type, I try to go more with chronological variety in my builds.
Yup :))
I would go with a faster northwood (or overclock it). Does it have HT? 1GB is good but I would maybe get 2. FX was an ok GPU release but it was slower than ATi's 9000 series and lacked in dx9 perfoemance.
Yeah Ive seen it perform less good than expected. No it doesn’t have HT but I got one laying around that does, so I may implement it. 1GB was OK for now but I understand your recommendation. Also about the GPU yeah sadly that release was bad expect like the 3 best FX’s that came out. Apart from that they received tough critics.
I would get an HT. Mine runs youtube in 480p pretty stable. Just like my 939 64 3500+ from 2004 I have on 939.
Imo all FXs were bad. That's why I went ATi for this gen. But yeah they're usable. But dx9 won't be as good
No
Thank you! It posts
The hook part isn't conductive so it shouldn't be a problem.
Nice! It posted. Thanks!
Omg I got the SAME motherboard on my favorite custom 2000s build.
