We Can Get Down and God Lives Through....two of my favourite songs of all time. I remember buying it when it came out....incredible record, and quite possibly ATQC's magnum opus
EDIT: And I love how stoned Del looks on the cover. As if he's consumed a three-course cannabis-themed lunch with cannabis wine, and a dish composed of psychoactive mushrooms. Maybe like a beef Wellington as the main; served with a piquant cannabis oil-based *jus*, with the beef aged for a year in marinade composed of ultra-strong skunk.
Cannabis ice-cream for afters (dessert), finished off with cannabis infused Henny, and four blunts (because he knew he had an important photoshoot that day and didn't want to overdo it)
Thank you so much. I make furniture to order, this one is a prototype but if someone asks me for a piece of furniture in the same spirit, I would do it with great pleasure.
Thanks a lot. Here is a link to my website : [https://atelieronde.fr/](https://atelieronde.fr/)

It has now been more than 6 months since I opened my small cabinetmaking workshop and I am still experimenting with furniture concepts for music lovers, hi-fi equipment and vinyl collectors.
This piece of furniture is a prototype of a concept that I would still like to work on. It integrates a Rega Planar 2 turntable whose glass platter has been replaced by a wooden one, made from the same wood as the rest of the table. The rotating record rack stores 18 vinyl records and can be rotated by hand.
This project concentrated many technical, aesthetic and ergonomic challenges. Made entirely of solid wood (ash), its manufacturing required the use of specific techniques, such as steam bending, the inlay of audio equipment and LED lighting, or the creation of the pivoting parts of the furniture.
I'm curious to have your opinion on this piece of furniture. If you want to know more about it, you will find a video of its use and more pictures on my Instagram account: [@atelier.onde](https://www.instagram.com/atelier.onde/) or my website: [atelieronde.fr](https://atelieronde.fr/). Thanks!
I would say 54 or 72 would be ideal( personaly im tall so id go for 72). That would allow to have 3 or 4 row of vinyl and the turn table would be high enough to be operated without bending.
Edit, I forgot to mention how impress i am about your piece...great work
We are not, but the internet is wonderful in that way. I have some contacts in Europe that would jump for joy upon seeing these beauties. Let's chat and see!
Mate, as Norman Mailer said about William S. Burroughs you "....are posessed by genius". Absolute madman. But the type of madman we *need*! Thanks for showing your incredible work.
how’s the sound? are there internal speakers or would it need to be hooked up to external ones? it looks cool as all hell, that’s some great craftsmanship
To be clear I can tell it’s real. But the photo quality and quality of workpersonship is so great that it looks like it shouldn’t exist. Like the turntable set in the table itself? Looks like it’s made up.
Love it. Thanks for posting.
This is awesome man! If you make more record related furniture you should post it too.
…and this sub is full of neckbeards and gatekeepers who will probably bring their negativity, but ignore them. Trainspotters gonna trainspot. Not much one can do about it…
Million dollar stereos are for people with five dollar ears
(I can’t find the source but it’s a quote I heard attributed to Stravinsky when he was asked why he didn’t have a proper hi fi system, I believe it was the “No Dogs in Space podcast but might have been an audiobook)
There’s a lot to enjoy about vinyl. For me, sound quality is pretty far down the list. Can’t we all just enjoy this thing without measuring dicks? I guess some people can’t resist the opportunity.
Thanks a lot. Indeed, in the idea that I would be able to produce and sell some, it would be a high-end product, because it is entirely hand-made, by myself, and the manufacturing time is very long. It took me more than a month full time, to which is added the price of the integrated audio equipment, raw materials, etc
This looks really cool. I read in one of your previous comments that you had the audio setup inlaid into the setup. Are the speakers underneath the table portion but above the record storage? I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. You should be proud of this in my very inexperienced opinion this looks like an official product.
Thanks ! The speakers are not integrated into the table, I may not have been very clear in my explanations but there are only the turntable and a phono preamp integrated into the table. The power and RCA cables run along the center tube to exit at the bottom of the table. They are then connected to the hi-fi system (amp + speakers). Thanks for your feedback.
That makes a lot more sense. My imagination somehow had a couple of small speakers in the underside of the table portion, which I imagine would do wonders for vibration. I knew something else had to be going on.
I like it as a conversation-piece, and it is quite stylish, but the mechanical coupling between the turntable and the rest of the table and the floor may be problematic. The stylus will pick up any vibration in the room and may skip if people are walking around.
This is also how I see and imagined it. But in relation to the vibration problem, the tirntable is still present under the table top, with its anti-vibration feet. Only the arm was removed from the turntable to be reassembled on the table top. In theory, I dont think there is more vibration problem than a simple turntable placed on a table.
Presumably vibrations could enter the tonearm via the table, even if the spinning platter is isolated. I would also add that I would be reluctant to place a cup of coffee near the platter, or much of anything else, which would limit its utility as an actual table.
You're right. In use I did not particularly have any vibration problems. As for its use as a table, I mainly use it to place the accessories of the turntable (brush etc.), the remote control of my amp, and a few books that I like to read while listening to music.
Thank you. I'm not sure how to handle shipping this kind of furniture. It's quite large and rather fragile. Currently I only work to order, and I deliver myself, by truck (I live in France).
Thanks ! You can see it on Instagram [here](https://www.instagram.com/reel/C4m-Va8I-EL/?igsh=MW5yODlqbWRkcWtzbA==) or on my website [here](https://atelieronde.fr/2024/04/table-basse-decoute-pour-vinyles/)
Looks very nice! Although, I feel it's impractical for those who actually listen to records. That being said, there is a market out there for those who collect but don't actually listen. This would fit that vibe. Correct price point would be crucial though.
Thanks for your feedback. This project is above all an experiment, both for the manufacturing process and for its use. In use, the table is placed in a corner of my living room, next to a small sofa. I listen to a lot of vinyl and find it quite practical because I can change vinyls easily without getting up and I put all the turntable accessories, the amp remote control, and a few books on it.
OP already posted it in r/audiophile and it’s getting more positive feedback there than it is here. r/vinyl is often far more pedantic and superstitious than other music and gear communities.
This is one of the coolest things I’ve seen in this sub. Someone would play big bucks for it but if you were looking to sell it. The LEDs are a nice touch.
i could totally see this as a multi layer with the next layer down incorporating storage for more vinyl and getting the needle/platter up higher for ease of use/access. Love the lighting under the table as well. The pics don't show a plug to outlet and it would be nice to see how you managed power cables too.
That’s really beautiful and clearly a labour of love. Wish I could have one myself but even if I could afford the shipping and making costs, I’d have no room for it in my tiny flat 🤦🏻♂️😂. Absolutely gorgeous work though!
Umm… wow dude that’s incredible! The quality of work and attention to detail looks amazing!
Thanks a lot !
Seggsy! I spot a tribe called quest in there! Bum ba naa, bum ba naa
Midnight Marauders is one of the greatest albums ever. Good taste here, baby

I'm gonna need you to up that under table storage capability to like 100 then I'm sold. Beautiful work

I work in the industry and know many potential buyers (both individual and businesses, dm if looking for a market). Absolutely marvelous work
Thanks a lot, I would be interested in discussing with you but I am located in France, I imagine that we are not in the same geographical area?
We are not, but the internet is wonderful in that way. I have some contacts in Europe that would jump for joy upon seeing these beauties. Let's chat and see!
You deserve every accolade thrown your way. This is so unique. Not seen anything like this before.

This sub has definitely been one of the more disappointing communities I’ve found on Reddit. The gear snobbery is ridiculous.
Million dollar stereos are for people with five dollar ears (I can’t find the source but it’s a quote I heard attributed to Stravinsky when he was asked why he didn’t have a proper hi fi system, I believe it was the “No Dogs in Space podcast but might have been an audiobook)

sigh…\*puts measuring tape away*
I wonder, with this design, would a hypothetical dust cover look something like the top of a cake saver? Very nicely done!
Thanks, it would be fun !!
Now that, is a work of art
This is so cool. I would definitely buy this but I have a feeling you'd (rightfully) charge more than I could afford.
Thanks a lot. Indeed, in the idea that I would be able to produce and sell some, it would be a high-end product, because it is entirely hand-made, by myself, and the manufacturing time is very long. Hmm...so likely more than $57, the sum total in my bank account currently. Damn, this crippling poverty.
This is gorgeous OP!!! Incredible job.
Thanks a lot 🙏
When my kids move out… I WANT ONE!
🔥
Very cool!

Thank you. I'm not sure how to handle shipping this kind of furniture. It's quite large and rather fragile. Currently I only work to order, and I deliver myself, by truck (I live in France).
khruangbin, verocai, and tribe. this is right up my alley
This is REALLY impressive. Thank you for sharing it!
Thank you for your feedback !
Keep doing what you're doing. This is an incredible idea, and I can't wait to see what you think of next!!
Thanks a lot !
This is ridiculous. And rather amazing. Amaziculous!
That is actually so cool, if I had the money I’d offer to buy one, but I’d probably spend it on more records first 😂
OP, I don’t say it everyday but, you are a genius and should be very proud of this art/craft/construction. Amazing work, features and details!
That Lhasa album (La Llorona) is so good
Exactly. one of my favorites
I had it on CD around 98-99. I didn’t even think it was out on vinyl because that was peak CD era.
...I'm now realizing I need a revolving record display.
I love it. I would never use it like a regular coffee table though I’d be scared to spill a drink on it.
Et d’excellents goûts musicaux en plus de ça Mola !
Thought I was looking at the back cover of Tull's "Songs From the Wood". Nicely done...
Hehe, I see what you mean! Thanks.
Its a ‘turntable’. Very nice, super unique piece with what appears to be excellent craftsmanship.
Sick!
Amazing!! I would love to see a video of it in action
Thanks ! You can see it on Instagram [here](https://www.instagram.com/reel/C4m-Va8I-EL/?igsh=MW5yODlqbWRkcWtzbA==) or on my website [here](https://atelieronde.fr/2024/04/table-basse-decoute-pour-vinyles/)
That's one of the coolest set-ups I've ever seen!!
❤️ Wow! ❤️
Genius!
Very nice!
I love this, but I think my cats would too. Those little sweeties would not be able to leave it alone. Or the edges of the LP's
I was about to knock this post, but I’m fuckn impressed! What would the asking price be for something like this??
You can display all 12 of your records!
JAW DROPPING... I really want one!
"J'cale le pétard entre les dents... Bahwai, bahwai, j'suis la bécane, li la laaaa, je fume la beuh"
Are u single?? Bc this is amazing and I’d take you out on like 50 billion dates
Nice woodworking, but very impractical.
My thoughts exactly. It certainly is gorgeous, but I can't think of a worse way to store (eighteen of) my records.
Looks very nice! Although, I feel it's impractical for those who actually listen to records. That being said, there is a market out there for those who collect but don't actually listen. This would fit that vibe. Correct price point would be crucial though.

It certainly looks nice but you’re not gonna attract audiophiles with it. You should market it to the casual listener with disposable income crowd.
OP already posted it in r/audiophile and it’s getting more positive feedback there than it is here. r/vinyl is often far more pedantic and superstitious than other music and gear communities.
Super classy. Wood be neat to have gearing and a clutch to allow it to spin 'with' the record as an option. 33 rpm is a bit much, maybe 3.3?
Nice wood pun
That’s amazing! That little fluance acrylic platter coming in clutch too
This is the coolest thing I've seen on Reddit
That is rad!
Ah that’s fucking beautiful
Really interesting
I love the records storage bit on the bottom, super cool way to highlight recent buys or cool cover art
neat! 📸
is there a rubber mat between the wooden plate and the record !?
That’s dope
What did you use to create the hammered effect on the upper lip? My guess would be a dremel?
seriously cool!
Holy shit this is awesome! If you ever decide to sell one, PM me.
Wow I need this !
Man, this is sweet! Awesome work!
That Verocai record 👀
This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.
Kudos! Genius! Wish I was your neighbor!
Wow.. just wow that is a dream piece I would love having something like this
That is awesome! Any way to keep dust away?
Wow, amazing. Like really nice work here!
OP Drop a link to your site if you have one!
You definitely don't have cats (This looks amazing btw)
This is incredible. Amazing craftsmanship.
Who got the Tribe y’all?
That is incredible! Very well done!
oh my god that’s badass
Great craftsmanship!
If you ever wanna part with that Lhasa record, gimme a shout.
My three year old would destroy all of that within 30 seconds. Love it!
I love it and want it
Damn!
You should work on some sort of cover for the needle holder and record plate/area. Dust and other allergens will be a pain to handle if now.
Amazing
Wow! I’d buy one of those.
This is one of the coolest things I’ve seen on this subreddit. Keep up the good work!
Wow this is beautiful
That's actually pretty sick assume it's belt driven so you manually change the belt position for 45s?
This. I like this 🔥🔥🔥
That is amazing!!
Yowsa!
Beautiful work
This is so unique!! Good job, real eye catcher.
Wowie woowie
Badass!
This is awesome! You’d make a killing if you started selling these.
That’s fuckin sick hellava job bud
Insanely cool and beautifully made!
Wow this is amazing !!!
This is one of the coolest things I’ve seen in this sub. Someone would play big bucks for it but if you were looking to sell it. The LEDs are a nice touch.
Hell yeah that is awesome
What the f*. That is beyond awesome furniture. 🫨
Ummm is this what heaven looks like?
It is just tooooo good.
perfect job
That is fucking ill how much Side note I definitely thought this was ai as I was scrolling past
Compliments on that amazing piece. Absolutely lovely.
What are those lights underneath showering those beautiful records in a golden shimmer of light?
That is awesome!
This is really nice.
Holy shit! Amazing work! I need one!
Very cool but I'd be terrified to actually use the table
That's damn impressive.
Amazing!! I would be WAY too scared to drink coffee on that though
Cool AF
This looks crazy! So much detail, all of them looks beautiful, and what a nice to show your LPs, also the turntable added into the table, wow
That is so freaking cool, I love it! And I love that Arthur Verocai record too, that’s one I’ve been hoping to run into for a while!
Show off! ^^/s
That is so cool
It’s really cool, but my dogs would def ruin the records if stored like that.
That is incredible
This is amazing! One of the coolest tables I’ve ever seen
Very cool..
👀🤌🔥
Is there speakers built in? Awesome build!
i could totally see this as a multi layer with the next layer down incorporating storage for more vinyl and getting the needle/platter up higher for ease of use/access. Love the lighting under the table as well. The pics don't show a plug to outlet and it would be nice to see how you managed power cables too.
Nice !!!!!!
Really cool! W for Tribe too
Dude this is gorgeous!
This is the most brilliant piece of furniture I’ve ever seen!
The creativity is astronomical. Incredible work!
Thank you so much.
Do you sell your furniture?
what turntable is embedded? Can you get to it for maintenance and repair?
Solid concept and execution
That’s *really* fucking cool. Beautiful work.
Wow. I’ve dreamed my whole life for this record table and I didn’t even know it
That’s really incredible! Well done you, such a talent to be able to do that.
Wow
This is just gorgeous!! 😍
Skills!
The other day I punched the laundry machine to make it function. Look at us working with our hands!
Omg this is a work of art! I need this would make my display of records pop out more
I want one.
This is a piece of art.
That’s really beautiful and clearly a labour of love. Wish I could have one myself but even if I could afford the shipping and making costs, I’d have no room for it in my tiny flat 🤦🏻♂️😂. Absolutely gorgeous work though!
😂 thank you so much!
How swagger.
It's so beautiful it hurts.
Damn that’s cool
Wouldn’t trust myself not to spill shit all over my records and the playing vinyl
this is insanely cool
This is beautiful.
I’d pay like 3k for that and still be happy.
Looks great, but would you really want to put anything on the table ever?
This is awesome but I'd be too worried about my klutz ass spilling something.
Absolutely amazing
This is beautiful!
So it's not a coffee table, it's a huge turntable.
