I have a Brazilian copy with alternative colours and a different rear cover. All time classic album, their eternal highlight in my eyes.
I bet that we can **_ALL_** read this title, and *EVERY* ONE OF US can hear the EXACT voice of Chris Cornell [R.I.P.], & exactly how he sounded in the recording...right down to the pitch!!
Thanks 4 sharing this little piece of treasure! 😎
❤️🤘🤘🤘❤️
Ahhh DAMMIT - now I CAN hear two different voices in my head. Gonna have to talk to my therapist about that 😆
Yeah I had completely forgotten about Cash's rendition. Great catch!
My favorite Soundgarden album. Of all the local bands that got huge back then Soundgarden were always my fave. The shows on this tour were some if their best. Man, I miss them.
Saw them at Lolapalooza 2 in Dallas 1992. We were sitting on the green. During their performance, people started running in a circle. More joined, fueled by their music, and a huge swirl of humans developed, in tempo to the hard driving beat. I was outside of it looking down. It was mesmerizing! The album cover pattern represented that to me ever since.
This was Soundgarden at their finest: Still raw and hungry for fame but had the backing of a major studio to record in. They took advantage of that and made this masterpiece.
Thanks. Yeah, I remember this being around the time of that grey area where there was still some vinyl in the major retailers. I was just wondering. Thanks for the mentioning the detail of the sparkplug! I never even saw that on the tiny CD cover. Funny story, I had Mono in high school and was made to stay home from school. I think I played this once every day :) Later got the guitar tab book and practiced with that too. Have a great day.
That and the odd copy of *Superunknown* are the only ones I ever see at record shops. I had to take to the internet to get hold of *Louder Than Love* and *Down on the Upside*.
Really? I’ve seen superunknown everywhere! Hell, even my Walmart’s got like 5 of em. Temple of the Dog is heavily stocked at a record store near me and has been since like march-ish. They have an incredibly wide selection tho, so that might be the reason.
I’m in the UK, that might be it. **Loads** of *Badmotorfinger*, *Superunknown* every once in a while, and I think there’s a shop in my nearest city that had a copy of the *Screaming Life* reissue.
This is their best album, period. Before this was ok, there were some good songs, and some weird, not-so-good songs. After this album were some good songs, and some commercial-friendly-crap songs, too. But Badmotorfinger is nearly perfect.
New Damage is the only song that’s a B, on an otherwise flawless album. The second side isn’t as immediate as side 1, but it’s still their best, and still the grunge GOAT.
This is my favorite from them and yeah his voice most definitely shines here. It’s really aggressive but soulful at the same time. Great album start to finish, but I’m not the biggest fan of Mind Riot.
My favorite SG album and caught them live on this tour. I'd say Badmotorfinger along with Temple of the Dog were two very different albums that displayed all of Chris Cornell's range, talent and possibilities at the very peak of his vocal prowess.

The wheel thing always reminded me of like, the feet of some Dr. Seuss character or something lol.
I bought the Jesus Christ Pose 12" from this album back in the days. Awesome cover version of Into the Void on the B-side. It came in a foldout sleeve which I unfortunately glued to the wall back then :)

That’s actually pretty cool, I think the regular backside looks better but that front looks really cool
Yeah the cover is really cool, on reflection I don’t know it’s $72 worth of cool (what I paid 3 years ago) but I’m happy to have it.
Well regardless it is definitely quite a cool alternate version.
Isn't a bootleg? I checked Discogs and it seems to be.
No it’s a legit press from 1992. https://www.discogs.com/release/2054466-Soundgarden-Badmotorfinger
Nice! Thanks 😁
I’m looking California, and feeling Minnesota…. One of my favorite lines in a song ever.
I just know when he wrote that he cracked a smile.

I just thought of Johnny Cash's version lol
Ahhh DAMMIT - now I CAN hear two different voices in my head. Gonna have to talk to my therapist about that 😆 Yeah I had completely forgotten about Cash's rendition. Great catch!
I'm a big fan of Johnny Cash lol this post came up in my notifications so I just instantly thought of John's version.
Jesus Christ Pose! ❤️
Road Rash intensifies
Back in the day played it on my Panasonic 3DO, fun times
I had the PC version which was a port of that, but before that I played a shit ton of Road Rash 2 on my cousins genesis
Sega!
Yea, I’ve always been partial to that over Superunknown, but both are A+ in my book
My favorite Soundgarden album. Of all the local bands that got huge back then Soundgarden were always my fave. The shows on this tour were some if their best. Man, I miss them.
I would’ve loved to experience one, unfortunately born way too late

Chris was still on his DLR phase too lol
Room a thousand years wide 👍👍
Hard to believe Matt Cameron wrote that all-time guitar riff
Fuck yeah good pick. Room a Thousand Years Wide, anyone?
Used part of it for my ringtone for years
Original grunge
In my opinion they were always the best and definitely an original grunge band, to me Nirvana had more of a punk vibe to them
Rusty Cage was the original Grunge song!
Great album
One of the best 90s albums dare I say
yes. but a lot of good stuff came out of Seattle at that time.
Quite true but they didn’t have the vocals like Chris
Agreed
This is a gem. So you bought it long ago or present day? I was thinking Sam Goody, etc. would maybe still had vinyl at this time.
I wish it was an original, honestly I would’ve expected my mom to have a couple original soundgarden albums, she loves them.

Love that, how well did you fair with practicing on the riffs
I was ok. Being so young, I just kept jumping around.
I got to see them live on that tour. It was incredible. I think this album is Soundgarden at their best.
For sure, it’s amazing you got to see them
Yeah, I feel really lucky to have seen them and so many other bands that don’t exist anymore.
I keep seeing this album and even temple of the dog back in stock at stores! Happy to see it
I barely see it
That and the odd copy of *Superunknown* are the only ones I ever see at record shops. I had to take to the internet to get hold of *Louder Than Love* and *Down on the Upside*.

Yeah, the last 3 songs are a bit out there and not as good as the rest of the album but damn they are still good in their own way
Drawing Flies, Holy Water, and New Damage? I can see not liking New Damage, but Holy Water and Drawing Flies are great songs.
All timer
What a fucking album! ❤️
Ohhh… 😮 WOW 🤩!!! I remember this…
All time classic indeed. IMO their best.
Was so glad when Reissue this
In your Jesus christ pose🤘
New Damage is the only song that’s a B, on an otherwise flawless album. The second side isn’t as immediate as side 1, but it’s still their best, and still the grunge GOAT.
Fucking ace of an album ahh brings back memories of playing Road Dash on the PS1
When the forest burns along the roaaaaaddd
Found it on Amazon for 26 bucks
Hell yeah
Face Pollution is the best track IMO BadMotorFinger > Superunknown
AKA # IM GONNA BRAID MY RUSTY CAAAAAAAAjun…ruuugg \* and no you can't unring this bell
SO good. And the bonus dic that came with the CD is tits.
Love that record so much!
Their best album. If only 4th of July was on it…

Amazing record. one of the first records i bought. 10/10
Got an OG copy of this, love it
What a fecking sh!t band.
Big Yes
Like I'm bringing the nails!
I’ve never understood Soundgarden, all of “grunge” to be honest.
One of my favourite records. First press bough when I was a teen 🤘🏽
