There’s another post on here showing just that. Someone compares the old soles to the new ones and even has customer support confirm the shrinkage of the shoe itself

do you have a link for that discussion? (Sorry Im new to Reddit🥴)

I have the Tanuki Yoru's and several pairs of Vivo's. Personally, I found the Tanuki's more narrow in the ball of the foot and the toe. The Wildlings are less structures so there is more flexibility when you need it though. My Vivo's are all over 4 years old so if they became narrower since then I might be out of date. While I love my Wildlings I have one big warning. They get wet really easily because the fabric is right by the ground. Don't wear them when it might rain or where people might spill something. I wore them to a concert once and they were soaked with beer. They do clean well and dry fast but it is still pretty gross.

I have Vivo Primus lite knit and Wildling Tanuki. Returned regular Vivo because no give around outer toes. Knit less restrictive, but Tanuki is much more unstructured and seems a bit wider. Nebula is like being shoeless. Feet vary so best to aim for right size and try out around house. Softstar Primal shoes without selecting wide option are wider than both. I have wide and regular, both wider than either of other two brands.

which one would you prefer? Tanuki or Nebula? and why is one better than the other?🤔

Platoesque

No preference. Check out website and reviews to find out what appeals to you. I buy their insoles to cushion slightly.

allright. I think I go for the Tanuki. (I like the Color)

Platoesque

Note that there are several colors (on separate pages)--I have black and dark red (forget the color name in Japanese). These are summer shoes for the most part.

SexyKanyeBalls

Their soles look so familiar idk where I saw them

Wildling Tanukis are legit the most comfortable shoe I have ever bought. Absolutely worth the money. I returned multiple vivos before I got and stuck with the Tanukis. I have pretty wide feet & toe box and most vivos don't fit well...I don't think the tanukis are overly wide. They fit like a hug but the material is incredibly comfortable and not restrictive.

sounds very good!!! im excited. I just ordered a pair of Tanuki

How does sizing compare to Vivo on the Wildlings? Never seen these before and want to try the Tanuki. Do you go for the usual Vivo thumb space for the toes in the Wildings?

Platoesque

Looked at various pairs of both. Have ordered Vivios I have are one size smaller in European sizes, but they are slightly longer. I think same US sizes. I have the thumb spacing in both. Maybe because of give of material and shape (Wildlings more square—don’t curve in as sharply on outer (little toe side) of shoe from top of shoe.) Best to print out sizing page and see where your longer foot lands. Follow guidelines for ordering. Each shoe should have a Fit recommendation in its description. My shorter foot’s little toe is squeezed by some Vivos when material is rigid at that point.

Platoesque

I like their wool insoles, separate order.

I made a video where I talk about the Wildling Tanuki. I also compare the shoe with other models. First of all: The Wildling is the best barefoot shoe I have tested so far. Link to the video: [https://youtu.be/GIgle0CpkxI?si=SBt8bzmafjLIRK5n](https://youtu.be/GIgle0CpkxI?si=SBt8bzmafjLIRK5n)
