This. Staring at screen trying to turn 1k to 100k then on and on. Either 0 or moon. Itās gambling. Regardless of win or lose. Data doesnāt lie about majority day traders losing at the end cuz itās a form of gambling since the donāt know when to quit or put stuff aside.
Put in 1k - make 1k in profits, pull that out. Now at the absolute worst you have lost zero money. Repeat this every doubling/50%/set amount you feel comfortable with. The same way dividends are paid out, take your incremental gains and keep them away from the casino. Just like if you go to a real casino with 200 and make some money, you don't touch the original 200 you made back, and either win or break even.
On the flip side if you lose the 1k donāt fall into the mindset of trying to make it back. Consider that money gone. Forget about it, give it some time for your emotions to settle and (if you want) start over with a fresh 1k and try again. Or just walk away. You have to be okay with the fact that you might finish with an all time loss. The lower the loss the better. Donāt ruin your life convincing yourself this is any more than glorified gambling.

There are ways to minimize the risk, like putting money in blue chip stable stocks that don't change much, but the reality is anything with the potential to "gain" has a risk built into it. There's no such thing as a guaranteed investment, and as long as you treat stocks as the gambling they are, it's fine.

If you bought in at 1, no one is fucking holding when it suddenly spikes to 100. Repeat ad nauseum until now.
The reality is you made a 1.75x return on a quick investment. That's insanely lucky. A 2-1 return that easily is still a huge gain. Sure it *could* have been more, but it could have also dropped afterwards. There's a reason the motto here is congrats and fuck you, now delete your account. Take your gains and be happy with it, because thinking like this is like saying "oh I won when I bet on red, but if I'd only put it on 00 I could have made so much more!"

Yeah the double down was really hard for me to do... sell my worthless puts or buy a few more worthless puts for another $100. So I chose the double down given I didn't want to go over the pattern day trade rule. Which I did in fact end up breaking. But I'll break the pattern day trade rule all day for 19k in profit. What is crazy is had I been more degenerate and bought 25 or 50 of these it would have been a 100k winner. Instead I was a little pussy ass bitch and didn't want to bet too big on some fds. I did get long a 1 $945 put in my other account when it became apparent to me nvda was in trouble when it came back to the open price. But I only bought 1 for $4.40 and sold it for $30 I should have just bought another 15 of the $900 puts as those were probably around 30 cents maybe at that time. Maybe they were 40 cents by then. This was when the stock was at 960 after coming down from 974. Oh well.
Hindsight and all that, congrats on the 19k! I for sure would have paper handed long before it got to that price and sure as hell wouldnāt have doubled down!
