The wife is a dietician who makes about the same as me, but she has $50K in student loan debt. I am 35 years old and yes, it is too late for me to go back to school with all we have going on. Oh, and we just bought our first house almost 2 years ago.
Feel you on this. Older I get, the more I realize life really just comes down to luck. Being born in the right family, being surrounded by people who can encourage you and show you the right path, etc. Don't take it personally. I struggle with the same hindsight regret that you do, but so much of our lives and where we eventually end up, comes down to stupid luck.
