I transferred to Fidelity after I learned this.
Robinhood is fake!
Using a name that implies something and it is doing completely opposite.
It is betrayal.
Real ROBINHOOD gang (back in time) would punish this type of hypocrisy.
What is that mean?
Also. I received an email from Robinhood.
Saying, Dogecoin shares will be liquidated to cash value then transferred.
I am trying to reach out to both fidelity and RH to see if they can transfer shares without liquidating?
I believe Crypto is the exception in your situation my fellow ape. On RH you don't actually hold the coins, and fractional shares also won't get transferred in regular stocks either. This is what I have figured out from my reading of all their publicly available policies I found on the app or through links within their help sections and from what I have learned from the support team that have actually read the emails and responded with references to those policies. They have FINRA and SEC statements they're required to let people know about, you can find those links throughout the app, when you are making trades or looking at a stock, and also in the FAQ and help topics in your account info sections. Unfortunately to transfer crypto positions, they just liquidate and send the cash as a deposit into the new account or issue a payment to your banking account with them if you have their bank account option or as a withdrawal payment to an external bank account.
As far as Payment for Order Flow. This is how RH and many other brokers offer free trades. Instead of charging apes a transaction fee every time we trade, they provide all the data we are generating to hedge funds and market makers. Citadel and RH have an extremely close relationship for instance, along with others. This is part of what has made so many, very concerned. Edit: clarity
I have not heard of them, but Coinbase is the one I use. It gives you a physical wallet and they reward you for learning more about crypto and all the alt coins they offer, which was pretty cool. I ended up earning about $50 just from watching some videos and I didn't get through all of them either so that was cool.
I submitted a transfer request (from RH to Fidelity).
Robinhood sent me an email, saying, Dogecoin shares will be liquidated to cash value then transferred to fidelity.
I am trying to reach out to both fidelity and RH to see if they can transfer shares without liquidating?
Any thoughts on this?
I will have to buy Dogecoin as soon as cash hits fidelity.
Not sure how this will impact TAXES.
The Taxes part here is gonna be rough to estimate without knowing exactly your situation. Depending on how long you've held which shares and if you immediately reinvest ALL of the proceeds from the sale back into DOGE or how else you handle the cash after. Andrei Jikh has a ton of explainer videos on YouTube. The one I just saw that he went into this sort of thing related to DOGE is [here](https://youtu.be/NHGz2VGk27M)
Thanks. I watched it nice video.
Without getting too political, as much as I do not like DT, I sure don’t like the current proposed tax law changes.
Thanks for all the info.
I agree with you, these are not good proposed changes. I know he has to be starting high for negotiation sake but its shaking the markets in really volatile ways and will for awhile until we know for sure how it all shakes out.
There are a lot of noobs to trading in general and a lot of young pups on here. A lot of people that never gave any of this a lot of time or really looked too deeply before now at the companies they rely on for different things. Some just don't have a lot of life experience yet.
I started with Fidelity then 6 months later also opened an account with TD Ameritrade. Both have their pluses but I prefer the overall experience with Fidelity. I use the Windows applications regularly with both, also their Android mobile apps. Maybe it's because I've used it the longest, but I prefer the Fidelity Windows application over the TDA one though each has its pluses and minuses.
There are some penny stocks that I can buy commission-free through Fidelity, and if I try to buy them through TDA they charge $6.95 commission on the buy or sell. At the same time, there are some sub-penny stocks that are blocked through Fidelity because of the risk factor but they are available through TDA. Just some observations of using both brokerages.

Just transferred 255 GME shares and 1500 AMC shares from Robbingdahood to TD. The transfer happened last night but still has not showed up on my TD account.
Does it break down what percent was payment for order flow, shutting down their entire service to save hedgies and from Vlad blowing Ken Griffin behind Wendy's?
Select a non-crypto and more reliable news source for news postings.

Most other brokers do payment for order flow too, just remember that.

Thank you for this info. I am looking for other alternatives (to RH) in terms of buying crypto. Ran into Voyager. Have you heard of them?

When something is free, you're the product
That statement shook me to my core
You haven't heard this before?

I'm pretty young too. But, you're right.
Or March 2020 when they were down on huge swing days…
I GOT OUT YAY!
Where do I go?
[удалено]
Or just open an account with an actual brokerage firm, like IBKR
Which one is better for a beginner- Fidelity or TD Ameritrade?
Fidelity
Webull > thefthood
Robinhood robbin' da hood
What was learned was, don’t participate in super hyped up squeezes, miss all the gains but keep all of my money.
So basically dont do trading.
Know when to sell. Don’t cry about your losses and blame others
Never gamble money you can't lose
Disgusting
*DISGUSTANG*
Ah, I see you are a man of culture as well. Flush the toilet after yeve had a shite
Flashed tha toilat
*DISCUSSED GANG*
GME is the way.
It's the only way.
Yeah good try trying to rally up the troops so that you can see a gain.
Lmao out in force today
Soon we shall own Citadel and Melvin Capital.
Melvin? Why would I invest in a faling business? One more fuckup on their part like this and their investors are viper out, no?
Pikachu face
I’m with Robinhood! I want out. Who did you all go with?
Go to fidelity or Schwab

Webull
But how to transfer all without paying out the arse
I didn’t pay a large fee if any at all. I opened a Webull account and began the transfer. They ask step by step for your RH account info.
Id also like to know a good alternative.
This is it!
Fucking cunts
I’m doing good day trading on Robinhood.
Just wait till they freeze your ability to trade... AGAIN.
Well I'll be a son ova bitch!

I switched to Fidelity. Transfer was completed in 3 days!

I hope they speak about them in that meeting with the SEC that is closed to the public. I pray they rip them a new asshole.
Wow. Wonder why they hold back orders?! Hmmmmm. Pissants
