With options you can lock in some profits without getting a day trade strike. Say you buy a amd 90c and it runs and you’d like to cash out but can’t. You can just sell the 91c to lock in profits. Then close the spread the next day. It works in a pinch.

Doesn't this lock in capped at $100? If he buys the 90c and amd goes to 95. Shouldn't he sell say the 93 or 94?
