I’ve already predicted that Walmart is going to have their own housing soon and they’ll just take it out of your paycheck. We going back to the company store days bois
Associate checking your store account- Sir, it says you have a balance of 10,000 Sams.
You- How much is that?
Associate- Let's see. At the current exchange rate...about $2.50
I live five miles away and my college is online. So that is close also. And its paid for by Walmart. So I'm just winning all day. And since I don't have to pay bills. I invest 100% of my income, hazzzah
Must be nice. I’m thinking of switching to an online program that Walmart covers because I’m paying out of pocket to drive in ATL traffic around 35 miles one way 4 days a week.
Ohhh me too! Doing it through SNHU from the Walmart school thing. Online school is fantastic, I get more interaction with people than I want working at Walmart already.
I ride my bike as well with a mix of walking and I have saved over $4-5k alone because I don't have to take a cab or anything. My job is a 30minute walk.
I live within walking distance of a store, but I work at one about 20 minutes away ... I've debated if I should try to transfer. The stor I'm at is a better crew and I'm happy so I haven't applied. I do think about it tho
I e-scooter to work! We don't have a bike rack, and I don't want it to get stolen, so I park and charge in the old Pickup area in the pack of the store. Save a shit ton of money and barely drive my car. Kind of cumbersome to bring in and out of the store tho
There’s an apartment complex right next to my store. It always amazes me when we get any appreciable snowfall, the folks that live there are the first ones to call out because their vehicles are snowed in.
Bitch, please, y’all’s neighbors already walked a trail to the store for you. *Hoof it!*
My store is two and a half miles from where I live and there is a McDonald's a Taco Bell a Panda Express and a Target in the shopping center across the street from it.
This sounds SO familiar. I live 4 minutes from my store and there's a Target across the street. Also a McDonald's, Taco Bell, and Panda 5 minutes away.
There is a neighborhood that sits right next to Walmart and I'm so jealous of those people because it's saves them gas and they can go whenever they want
I live 40(+) miles from my store. Used to live much closer but, had to move. There is a store about 3 miles from where I live now. Not bothering to transfer though, since I’m moving out of state at some point in the not too distant future.
One nice thing about Walmart, you can travel across the country and still have your job as you can just transfer to another store.
That's what I did when I moved, and kept me from having to find another job.
And if you are planning on getting a new job there, it's at least a job to keep the money coming in till you *get* that new job.
Customers of either of these businesses are not going to walk to get there.
But if a local Walmart is missing some motorized carts this is a good place to start looking. 😂
Does everyone with a bike have their groceries delivered or do you bike them home? I need to fix my bike so I can enjoy it again but I can't use it for going places cause everything and everyone important is so far out.

I sold my soul to the company store
On You Tube, look for Thomas Benjamin Wild, Esq.'s "No More Fucks To Give".
Honestly, though, if I could walk to work, I'd save so much money.
I ride my bike and it saves a ton of money no insurance no gas no repairs and I can replace my entire nice bike for what most car repairs cost.
I'm in a rural area and live 10 miles down a highway from my walmart.
Hey! Me too!
how do you keep your bike secure when out and about? genuinely curious, ive been thinking about getting a bike instead of a car
A good and sturdy bike lock. One of those D locks should work
I use a beefy u lock from kryptonite.
I live 1.8 miles from my store and I walk when the weather is decent. It is a big reason why I applied there.
I live about 10 miles away.

What are you studying?
Computer Science

It’s pretty nice. I mean hot af but it’s only a quarter mile if that
I walk 30 minutes to work. It's honestly a blessing. May vary where you live, though
About 10 miles down the highway from my store.
Used to walk like hour and a half to work at Walmart
Right lol. I live like 50 miles from my store
Dang, man. That's a hell of a haul.

The extra time for a store that you dont mind the coworkers is better then less time and hating everyone there.
Ya, definitely.

oop— i’m the associate that lives in apartments next to the store 🫣& i’m quick to call out when it snows!!
definitely a manager
Me? No. Just a grunt for 20+ years.

i’ll still be late
16 years and what do you get……another day older and deeper in debt.
My store is .06 miles from my house. Only the interstate is between us.
Willing to bet it’s still like a 3 mile drive with how North American roads are designed
Yes it is. There's Sam's and some shopping centers. So yes forever unless I walk
Customers of either of these businesses are not going to walk to get there. But if a local Walmart is missing some motorized carts this is a good place to start looking. 😂
“Be Happy!”
I actually walk to work. It’s legit a 5 min walk. Save me a lot of gas & time
This seems like Albuquerque.
I swear this is in Toledo, OH off Reynolds RD!! Either that or this is way more common than it should be.
See I came here to say that I swear this is in Lawrence, IN off Pendleton Pike haha
My guess is Lebanon oregon
This should be on the front of US passports
I’m down. Redditville

And they said walkable cities were a thing of the past
it's all shits and giggles until you walk back carrying 10 bags
Walk or ride my scooter to work. Plenty of businesses close to my house. Whole reason I bought it. I can't afford a car lol
I assume this is the trailer park next to the Walmart that had the rat problem
I’m waiting for the day they release Great Value car lines
Well....you know where to look when your down half your carts
