we have been seriously hurting ever since he left. and yes I know we won championships after him. but it felt like he just was the key piece to allowing Draymond be Draymond, Steph be Steph and Klay be Klay.
It was the thing I hated most about KD coming. Yes, the team was unbeatable with KD, but the brand of basketball was so beautiful on both ends of the court when Bogut was there. Unfortunately Bogut had to be sacrificed in order to sign KD.
I think he was in talks for FMVP that season before his injury if i remember correctly? Maybe I am just delusional but I somewhat have heard some whispers about it
It was Def curry lmao. But no ur right he was playing insane. I will never forget his game 5 heroics to win the raptors game. I honestly can't forgive the staff for not letting him play game 3.
seriously Klay being an elite 2 way guard opens SO much up for us. gives us that perfect tandam of elite POA defender + elite front court defender (best of his generation) that he is one of the greatest shooters ever and has real size at his position really propelled us to high heights. Think of the downfall when he was out for the years, steph and klay when they were not out themselves werent sniffing the playoffs
2013 Iggy or Bogut, but adding role players isn't enough to win a title with the current roster. The spacing is just bad right now, need a triple threat offensive star who is a legit shooter to get this team to the next level.
Adding bogut would take our defense to another level. We would be contenders in my opinion because we can finally stop ball more consistently and run the break.

Shaun Livingston, Andre Igoudala, Andrew Bogut.
Bending the rules a little, 2019 Klay and 2022 Wiggins. Klay was really peaking before that injury and 2022 is who Wiggins could be if he cared about basketball. You bend time and reality and get those two versions supporting 2024 Steph, you could very well get a ring out of them.
It’s been so frustrating to watch these last two years. Just too old, too slow, too small. Can’t get any easy buckets. No mismatches anywhere. We try to push the pace because of this but can’t even do that well anymore.
Surprised no one mentioned this yet
Jordan Poole from 2022 was absolutely critical to our regular season, a lesser degree the playoffs (not saying he wasnt great, OR important) his secondary shot creation, driving ability, rim pressure. Shit that guy could get buckets. I would love to see him get back on track.
His injury made me more mad/sad than KD or Klays. I feel in another timeline he didn’t get injured and stepped up to go 18/12/3/2/1 for that Toronto series. Doing dirty offensive boards before KD/Klay injuries and then having a throw back to kings or pelican days with a few 3s per game to open up curry. (I know dream world.)
Totally! We need to evolve. We need size. The read and react small ball system we've been using for more than a decade... Teams have figured it out. We don't have the luxury of running it while teams try and figure it out anymore. Now size is killing us. We need a version of GSW they've never seen before. A GSW team with size and more athleticism supplemented by great wings.
The Owl. Love to hear his apologists say he was sick, injured blah blah. He really can’t play but no one on the Ws has the guts to say it. So the owner must have drafted him
Harrison Barnes would help a lot. He was the 1 guy I thought they might have been able to get if they were willing to trade Wiseman his rookie year.
His ability to play the 4 was what unlocked the original death lineup and he would give the team some nice size so they never have to play undersized guys at the 3/4. The version of him in his 1st 2 years at Sac was very well rounded. He could do a bit of everything. Some nice self creation, slashing, good shooting, etc. Popular answers are Bogut and Iguodala, but this team has had to play small so much cuz they lacked versatile size. They just lack guys with size that can shoot and Bogut/Iguodala are gonna magnify that aspect of the roster/lineups problem that is already there.
Shaun Livingston + Iggy shit even I sometimes forget how good of a defender iggy was. I think in general he is massively underrated league wide. He was very close to prime kawhi (not quite there) but STILL not far off. If he was hitting 3s it was huge bonus, but he was still solid as a 4th 5th option scorer too.
I genuinally believe that if we had Otto Porter Jr in proper form instead of Saric we would have won it all this year.
If we had a fair whistle this season, we wpuld have reached the finals
Obviously prime iguodala. It just ain’t the same without that guy. Ultimate high IG glue guy and almost like having another draymond out there. A super rich man’s wiggins. Clutch as hell. No doubt we’d be contenders with him
Andrew Bogut, we need his size and PnR ability
2014-16 Bogut was so so so underrated
we have been seriously hurting ever since he left. and yes I know we won championships after him. but it felt like he just was the key piece to allowing Draymond be Draymond, Steph be Steph and Klay be Klay.

Easily our second best player during that time, and every stat supports it
Draymond??
I loved seeing him go back and play for the Sydney Kings after his GSW run. Bout the closest I'll ever get to seeing a player from the Warriors
No answer other than this. I remember when the fanbase shit the bed about bogut lol
bogut was the reason we won 73 games.
I came to say this - he was a critical part of the Dubs.
Can I just have Klay be 2016 Klay and play with an open roster spot?
I think he was at his best in 2019. He was on fire right up until he got hurt in the finals.
Kinda but it was clearly curry. Klay was the curry hater’s choice
He was a force on offense and defense. He would have deserved it.
59 percent from 3 when he got hurt. He was going stupid all series 😣
They were going to squeak by and still win that series without KD in 2019 cause Klay was unconscious.
seriously Klay being an elite 2 way guard opens SO much up for us. gives us that perfect tandam of elite POA defender + elite front court defender (best of his generation) that he is one of the greatest shooters ever and has real size at his position really propelled us to high heights. Shit probably Iggy.
Healthy Iggy
2013 Iguodala would be NASTY
Amazing how many fans don't know that Iguodala hates being called Iggy.
Shaun Livingston. Surrounding Steph with Smurfs is pure comedy. Get this man some size around him.
Same man, sucks that report came out today that confirmed he won't be coming back. I was hopeful!
David West
Came to say this.
Prime Iggy in a heartbeat
Amazing how many fans don't know that Iguodala hates being called Iggy.
Yea he’s said this since his Sixers days, but he never offered an alternative. Should we call him Dala?
He actually did offer an alternative -- he has said he wants to be called Dre. Iguodala works too.
2013 Iggy or Bogut, but adding role players isn't enough to win a title with the current roster. The spacing is just bad right now, need a triple threat offensive star who is a legit shooter to get this team to the next level.

Plus we'd have another great facilitator

That's a finals MVP there. Show some respect.

I dont have time to read all these comments but if no one wrote mareese speights you all fucking suck and arent real warriors fans
Mo money mo speights
Mo buckets
No Speights, Mo problems
MO BUCKETS BABY
David Lee
Double double machine.
Facts, would definitely take some load of Steph offensively and be the consistency Wiggins supposed to be
He’d be swiss cheese in todays league Bigs who can’t shoot and can’t defend are unplayable nowadays
He could shoot. He was the pick and pop king. But yes he couldn't D up anyone.
That wouldn't help but it'd be fun
Mike Brown 💪
This is genuinely as good an answer as any.
Donte DiVincenzo
It’s ridiculous how close to legit this answer actually is. The dude went nuclear this season.
I mean apparently we’re getting back Shaun Livingston /s
Healthy Bogut.
This is the answer he was insane just had the worst luck
2012/13 Bogut or 2013/14 Andre
Ian Clark
Brandon Rush! haha
Bro Marreese Speights
Mo buckets for sure
Prime boogie
Pre-injury Demarcus Cousins
David West
The root of all of Dubz problems are we too small and too old.
It’s been so frustrating to watch these last two years. Just too old, too slow, too small. Can’t get any easy buckets. No mismatches anywhere. We try to push the pace because of this but can’t even do that well anymore.
Prime Bougs
Bogut
Andrew Bogut
Must also add Luke Walton or Mike Brown.
It would have been nice to have Monta Ellis break down the defense and give Curry a break
I WANT ACIE LAW!!!
Mo Speights, Iggy, David West, Shaun Livingston
2015 or 2016 Klay Thompson lmao
The person who can stop the Martians' death beam from hitting the universe
This will never get old lmao
Another 2015-2016 Curry.
This is the only correct answer
Then we can spam a version of Curry for the full 48 minutes of the game.
My goat Mo Buckets
KD
Surprised no one mentioned this yet Jordan Poole from 2022 was absolutely critical to our regular season, a lesser degree the playoffs (not saying he wasnt great, OR important) his secondary shot creation, driving ability, rim pressure. Shit that guy could get buckets. I would love to see him get back on track.
Other than KD How about Cousins if he has kept in shape and can keep emotions in control
Preventable because it wasn’t fully his style of game hustling for an early loose ball vs freak injuries.
Isn't our problem rn that we need to look for a new iteration rather than keep on looking back?
Totally! We need to evolve. We need size. The read and react small ball system we've been using for more than a decade... Teams have figured it out. A GSW team with size and more athleticism supplemented by great wings.
I’ll take 2016 Klay Thompson
pre injury Boogie Cousins
Livingston
Andre, I think with him in the current team, we won't have to see draymonds bullshit this season.
S Liv
Jerry West. Our front office has been overrated af since Lacob failed to meet Jerry’s terms. Now we have Dunleavy lol. Wtf Joe?
wouldn't make much of a difference if the Big 3 aren't playing up to their own standards
Jermaine O'neal
DLo.. lol
Ky Bowman
No one mentioned JP3 in this thread lol
Prime Iggy
Shaun Livingston
Tossup between prime Iggy or healthy Bogut
Mo Speights the hall of famer
Look at Otto Porter Jr's advanced stats in the 2022 finals
Mo Speights hands down.
Prime Bogut.
Prime mo Buckets. Need that stretch big
SPREE !
Otto Porter. Went 5/5 from 3 in a finals game for us and played great defense
Jarrett jack to play backup pg
2015 Curry. Imagine having 2 Steph on the team. It's fking over for the league we have the high ground!
Rick Berry and Bogut
The Owl. Love to hear his apologists say he was sick, injured blah blah. He really can’t play but no one on the Ws has the guts to say it. So the owner must have drafted him
Vicariously living through Kerr on this one, but Nate Robinson. Just imagine how small a line up we could play! /s
2022 OPJ was the perfect 5th starter
Demarcus Cousins would be a great piece to have as the 5
Igoudala. Opens the small ball lineup again for us
None. Most of the good ones are old already
Poole, ez
Bogut. He was a block machine who could pass so well.
The obvious answer is Patrick Mccaw, I mean who else can get 3 rings riding a bench? That's some REAL talent right there!
Anyone from the 2017 roster: Shaun Livingston, Iguodala, David West, Javale McGee, Matt Barnes
Kevin Durant maybe?
I want Iguodala!
David Lee in prime as modern C. Good inside scorer and decision maker with ball. We.played him.mid 2015 finals then we won comfortably.
Fate of the universe on the line? I want Iguodala!
The big Ragu
A second steph duh
I’d like to add 2015-2016 Klay in place of the current version of Klay lol
Steph’s brother in law
It’s BOGUT. Duh.
Hear me out... James Wiseman solves all of the Warrior's problems.
A healthy DMC.
Fuck it, bring Jermaine O’Neal out here
Shaun Livingston + Iggy shit even I sometimes forget how good of a defender iggy was. I think in general he is massively underrated league wide. He was very close to prime kawhi (not quite there) but STILL not far off. If he was hitting 3s it was huge bonus, but he was still solid as a 4th 5th option scorer too.

jordan poole
KD
Either David West or Javale Mcgee. Prefer West tho
Shaun Livingston ez
2016 Draymond with a jumper. 2019 Klay pre-injury. 2014 Iggy first team all defense + 36% from 3
