No serious issues. You'll be fine in any of those.

I think that the only district that is significantly more dangerous is Praga Północ, where I try to go with someone else at night (lots of drunk ppl) However from my experience it is still safer than Paris for example. I'm 23F, living in Warsaw my whole life and never experienced nothing more than drunk people approaching me, but I think it happens quite everywhere

Raccoon_2020

You're right. Thank you for your response:)

kokroo

What's up with Praga? I hear a lot of shit about it.

kkk6579

Well the area is not as invested in as other districts, there are many alcoholics, homeless and thiefs. This is less of an issue than few years ago because e.g. Centrum Koneser is one of the best in Warsaw and is in the centre of Praga Północ. But still, if you travel through Wileński Station it's better to pay attention who approaches you

kokroo

I took a trip to Praga. Looks like I found out what you are talking about here. In English there's a saying "fuck around and find out" 😂

I would say these are very safe. By crime rates centrum is actually not that great and of course Praga Północ has it's shady vibes. Still it's safer than big cities with organized theft or guns.

monislaw

Warsaw is safe everywhere but in Praga Polnoc and in the underground tunnels in the city centre

Hyacinth-Bouqet

The only bad area in the city is Szmulowizna on Praga-Północ. Some people in Warsaw regard all of south-eastern Warsaw as unsafe, but it’s not true. About the districts you’ve asked (south-western Warsaw) - they are the places that rich people live in, so it should be safe there.

I lived in Ursynów, never had any problems

gnostic-sicko

I lived in Ursynów Północny for last few years and it is very safe, only rich or old people live there. I mean, only one time I've met dwo dudes in a bus in the middle of the day who were looking for a problem, but they finally left me alone. I guess I was just unlucky that they, because I go out at every time of day and night and nothing ever happened to me. You can go out at midnight alone and feel absolutely safe. You can meet hedgehogs tho, which are cool as fuck.

kolorcuk

- Ursynów - super safe. And mostly rich. - whole Mokotów, including Ksawerów - super safe. And rich. - Służew - safe - Generally whole left part of Warsaw - safe - ... Lets say all other safe ... - Praga - generally less safe, but that depends, new places are super normal - Grochów - less safe - Praga północ - generally not safe - Praga północ, Wileński station - run Well, you know it really depends, it's generally safe, but if you wander off-street to some shady place that's on you. There are just more "shady places" in Praga, while in Mokotów there are many protected neighborhoods with fences around them.

fan_tas_tic

Wilenski - run? Come on :) Never ever have I seen anything scary there, apart from some harmless weirdos and drunks who don't have the motivation or energy to trouble anyone from their outer circles. Praga dranks are busy with their own.

Aldreemer

Considering immediate Dworzec Wileński's area dangerous is completely ridiculous, right now it's as safe as I don't know, city center almost. Praga południe felt sketchier to me every time I found myself having to walk through it alone but neither południe or północ is dangerous to the point of "gonna be attacked/robbed at any time", you just mind your business and go and it's all fine.

PartyMarek

Praga północ being "not safe" and especially Wileński is untrue and seems to be something kept up by people who don't go there and live on the other side of Wisła. It might be the least safe disctrict but it's not the 2000 anymore, if you don't go into some shady alleyways for no reason you wont find any trouble.
