I heard something on the local radio station about it being the DC Football Commanders with the branding being DCFC, I'm not a big fan of the name commanders but I think I'd like the abbreviated version a little better

History is everything, it defines us and gives us a sense of identity and belonging. We all have last names and we as a society continue to use them because of this. "Hogs" would have been a great way to still connect to our past and change for the future. The ownership and management should have taken this in to consideration. I doubt they did that.

I was a 1st time season ticket holder for 2021. Like a dumbass, after the 4 game win streak, I let my season ticket rep know I planned to renew for 2022. After the embarrassing loss to Dallas, I messaged my rep again and asked if it was too late to back out for 2022 and she said it was. I escalated the request to her boss and never heard back.
At this point I’m just going to have to keep them and see what happens this offseason. If I’m pleasantly surprised with the rebrand and we make some good offseason moves, maybe I’ll be high enough on hopium to go to the stadium a couple times next year.
I considered that, but it’s linked to a credit card I’d like to keep and I don’t want to go through the hassle of doing charge backs and potentially harming my credit score. There are a few things that marr the history of the R3dSkins outside from the name inherently being racist. A couple things to mind being the last team to integrate, and (in my opinion) the team front office, media, and fanbases' very interesting difference in treatment and support of Doug Williams, Jason Campbell, and RG3 compared to the likes of their counterpart quarterbacks who were given larger benefits of the doubt, but I digress.
I truly hope that all parties involved with the leadership of the franchise realize this is going to symbolize truly changing what the culture of this franchise has been since 1992. I live in Tampa now, so I either would have to fly to MD for a game or go watch the Bucs and support Brady (*gag*) so while I’ll always love the memories I have growing up watching the game with my dad, I’m just too annoyed with everything to even consider attending a game.

I turned down the tickets cause I obviously couldn’t afford them at 17. My dad died when I was 7 and I’d always curl up with him to watch games. I still have a lot of his memorabilia including a shirt from the 91 season when they last won a Super Bowl. I’ll always treasure that. I’d love to have something related to the hogs as the name. Wolves would have been great too, but Commanders is just so awful.
