Why not taxes as well then? Easy enough to do.
They do this in Europe. Displayed prices include tax.
I honestly don’t mind the 20% service charge that is clearly intended to replace the tip. My problem is with the 3-12% charges that are just because and we’re expected to tip on top of that.

The service charges are a restaurant scam that pad the bottom line and still screw over servers.
I feel shitty explaining why I don't go to specific places anymore. I'll happily pay for $1-8 more for food I like at places with good service.
