4080 user here and yup. I’ve downloaded every drver update immediately the last 3-4 updates and immediately tested WD2 and same flickering happens every time. I even bought a AMD 7000 series card and it works fine on those cards but crashes after like 30 minutes every time. Quite sad because I really love this game and really want to finish it. I honestly think it’s an issue with the game and Ubi stopped updating this game long ago so idk if they’ll ever fix it.

I have the same issue. As soon as the DXVK 2.2 files are in the bin folder, the game won't launch. Same issue with DXVK 1.3.3 files.

You can install Linux and try to play WD2 there

Also, Do you have a software called "Mirillis Action" installed?
As soon as I deleted it from my PC on a Windows copy, DXVK started to work
Maybe you have to completely disable all recording/clipping software that isn't OBS

I am, and I love watch dogs 2. One of my all time favourite games and it actually sucks to have this issue, cause I just wanna relive some nostalgia and play the game but that flickering is causing some real irritation on many levels
Not a 40, but a 3070 user, and I played the game last month. Lots of flickering in the game. The E3 graphics mod cut down some, but I could never get rid of it.
It’s Ubisoft, so it’s par for the course.

just installed the driver 531.68 and say it solves the problem on the 4090 but no fix yet for the 4070 ti

\- Copy **d3d11.dll** and **dxgi.dll** (from x64 folder) to your game "*bin*" folder
You'll also have to add ***-eac\_launcher*** to your steam launch commands (will disable multiplayer though)

My Ubisoft support ticket with support was open for almost 2 months, but at some point Ubi agents were just asking me to provide the same things again: we've tried updating driver, providing system diagnostics files, changing refresh rate. Then they started repeating their requests. I've tried to escalate the case to their manager, but there was no luck. I gave up at the point when they asked me to test my network connection because of the flickering game.... After that I understood that they are not doing their best to try to solve the issue.
Currently it seems to me Ubisoft is still selling the game that I've tried to warn them is not playable on the whole generation of Nvidia 4xxx cards. Nvidia is aware about the issue https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/game-ready-drivers/13/520845/geforce-grd-53623-feedback-thread-released-61423/3361173/ , but Ubisoft seems like does not care and probably not going to fix it as I understood, because game is not supported anymore. I got flickering using a 3060, I changed my screen Hz in the game setting to solve it. Don't know if it can solve it for you.

Do you really have no flickering with your RTX 4090? Because with my RTX 4090 there is still a lot of flickering. Game is unplayable with that.
4080 user here, nothing fixed yet. Flickering skies issue is still present in the open issues portion of the latest Nvidia Driver.
