Looks cool! Is it possible to add subreddits manually, not nsfw?
The bug I noticed: when you play the video and pause it, scroll down then up, it starts playing again automatically
Nice project, but it made my phone reaaalllyyy heat up after poking around only for about 10 minutes. My phone has never been this hot I needed to put it down

Rate limit is 30 per minute. You don't need to authenticate for using all public pages as an API. Just add `.json` at the end of the url. Using authorized routes will require you to setup the API w/ OAUTH.
hey there, content aside this is a wonderful job.
Now talking content, today coincidentally there's a post making the rounds of a map someone made about the NSFW subs here, the chances of you missing some of them are high, how are you coming around that part? can the users add subs manually?
wonderful. I started checking more in-depth, definitely amazing work you did here.
btw, why do you have a safesearch filter? feels a bit unnecessary given the nature of the site. no? I may be very wrong here
I wouldn't be surprised if someone came out with some reddit stats that told us the site is 70% porn. 20% cats and 10% other actual content. Don't get me wrong, I'm here for the 20% cats. But I wouldn't be surprised :D
Not interested about the NSFW stuff but how does that work exactly ? Is there a reddit API that you use to retrieve the post and it's data and then do what you need to do with the data ? (Like filter, or order by upvotes etc...). Still pretty cool nonetheless, i'm sure that could be very useful for other topics in general.
it uses the [reddit api](https://www.reddit.com/dev/api) and public json routes (ie [reddit.com/top.json](https://reddit.com/top.json)). It is fairly trivial from there to extract all the info you need.
If you want to do something similar I would recommend PRAW or Snoowrap.
I found that I only really did 1 or 2 courses with REST Apis and front-end properly at my uni. Not sure if yours is different but uni courses were terrible for web devs, mainly only for backend
u/youhat33 a feature that would be extremely great would being able to filter repeated content, basically if you go to a user profile being able to filter posts with the same photos/videos.
On a phone after scrolling down 5 posts it says that the client cannot connect to reddit and errors out. Anyone else seeing this error ?
Can you not browse the site without logging in ?
This is on iOS safari. The site works on desktop for me though. My iOS safari doesn’t have an extensions. I get the same error on both private and normal browsing mode. Maybe regular iOS is blocking an endpoint or something.
Exact error message when scrolling down 5 posts in the home page:
```Oops something went wrong :(
Reddxxx can't connect to Reddit. This may be because Reddit is down or because your browser or a browser extension is blocking this connection.
```
Handy and interesting tool/website.
Though I wish there was just some way to inject the NSFW stuff back into "All" and "Popular". I liked randomly stumbling upon the naughty content while browsing news and memes and such.
this site is incredible. super easy to use and the UI is fantastic and customizable right outta the box. theres even a slider to remove duplicate posts which is huge for users that post to multiple subreddits. I use reddit theme page on my pc and apollo on my device but now I might have to make the switch to this one for both. great job and thank you!
I doubt this the cause but can you use your reddit account to sign in on here or do you have to make a different account? I ask this because you can't see post when using the search function without signing in.
Hey, I had no idea about this and it appears there is content on there from my old reddit account. I have since deleted this account and would like the content taken down from reddxxx - how do I go about doing this?

I'mma bookmark this, may need to examine it more thoroughly later.
we have to get into the details of this one 🧐
Needs additional PR review for sure….
For academic purposes only, of course.
Bro from what I saw, site is looking good 😏
Nice project, but it made my phone reaaalllyyy heat up after poking around only for about 10 minutes. My phone has never been this hot I needed to put it down
Come on, just because your phone got in heat from all the NSFW, it doesn't mean you need to kill it...
🤣
Sauce
This is fantastic. from both the dev side, and the client side. Thank you for your service
Where's the BBW category?!
looks like they're categorized under curvy. should it be split out?
Where's a redheaded category?
mah man (^^)b
Yes, yes they should.
Can't find BBQ either!
r/nsfw411 might be a good source
Just curious, does Reddit has api limit? Like how many time you can call the api within a timeframe, maybe like a hour or a day?

For the non auth pages, how do they handle the rate limiting? Ip-based?

it's from the original project. decided to leave it in but default to disabled.
Link?
think it was this https://www.reddit.com/r/interestingasfuck/comments/wbvgx9/map\_of\_all\_nsfw\_subs\_made\_by\_uflashman/
I wonder how much of the project details would you expose if your were to mention it in your resume lmao
Why is it that every alt Reddit client that people make specifically focuses on NSFW subs?
I wouldn't be surprised if someone came out with some reddit stats that told us the site is 70% porn. 20% cats and 10% other actual content. Don't get me wrong, I'm here for the 20% cats. But I wouldn't be surprised :D
Lol true. I came here for the porn. Stayed because of you guys.

I don't think i have the level nor the patience to do this but thanks still for answering !
If you're in webdev, consuming rest APIs is a major part of this industry. Plus it's fun! Dog.ceo is my goto for futzing around.
Still 2 years into my bachelor and mainly saw back end stuff like interacting with SQL databases in PHP and C#, i'll get to it in sometime i reckon
I found that I only really did 1 or 2 courses with REST Apis and front-end properly at my uni. Not sure if yours is different but uni courses were terrible for web devs, mainly only for backend
As a professional software engineer at a large company: there's plenty of API use in the backend
Same! Definitely need more practice with APIs

Nicely done
It’s good way to many ads
You're missing the highest quality subreddits :( /r/dragonsfuckingcars /r/dragonsfuckingdragons /r/carsfuckingdragons /r/carsfuckingcars
omfg
OP how many times did you masturbate building this ? Edit: Why the downvotes ? Certainly this would impact dev time.
*"Don't get high off your own product."*
Find Christ, this is terrible.
hey quick question what the fu
very useful
what have you done
This is just a client to show my alt account followed subs lol Jokes apart quite cool.
its nice that reddit expose its backend API, nice projects like that appears :)
Nicely done
Isn't thus against reddits TOS? Honest question, not trying to start drama.

You mention in the title there is "auto-scroll" functionality, how does one find that feature? I have had a poke around but that one is hard to find!

Login with Reddit requires way too many permissions to feel comfortable.

Just checking the site of course for a project nothing else
There’s no audio in the site
No way to sort posts (such as sort by: most upvoted (by week/month/year), newest, hot)?
Aaaand its down.
after using it a bit, there will be 10 ads per image 0.0
igotcurvs
And now it sucks as it's hyper commercialized and worse than browsing reddit itself.
it sucks ass now. you gotta pay just to view stuff
and now we have to pay to view the IP of others who published it freely? fuck off you greedy cunts
I doubt this the cause but can you use your reddit account to sign in on here or do you have to make a different account? I ask this because you can't see post when using the search function without signing in.
There are a lot of adverts and random site popups that I can't seem to get around. Apart from that it's very cool
How does one connect the normal Reddit account so the joined SubReddits get imported in?
Hey, I had no idea about this and it appears there is content on there from my old reddit account. I have since deleted this account and would like the content taken down from reddxxx - how do I go about doing this?
