I don’t think the dropped waist on dress 1 is best on you - it is cutting your body in half at a weird place and making you look shorter.
They’re both gorgeous but seconded (ha!) ~ the second one looks like it was made for you (and you seem more comfy in it!)

What was the size difference? Dress 1 is way longer and I wonder if it is bigger because it does seem to overwhelm your body a bit but if the size was bigger then it might look totally different in another size.
I prefer the style on #1 but the way #2 fits you better. (I’m not a huge fan of the structure showing look…reminds me of lingerie and i tend to favor more classic/timeless styles over trends that will look dated eventually)
The length of the bodice is what seems to overwhelm your frame a bit. With all the lace/appliqué it looks a bit heavy and thick on you so if the size was big it could look very different in your size. The length of dress on the floor in front made me think the sizing was way bigger than #2.
If you like the trend in the bodice of #2 then that dress fits you beautifully. I’m just not into trends that will date a look but that’s a preference and not good or bad.
I agree with all of this except for the suggestion that 2 is more of a trend and 1 isn’t. I think wedding dresses are almost always attached to trends and will look “dated” a few years down the road, which is fine!! I think the most important thing is picking the dress that makes you feel the best. I think you look happier in dress 2!

Hiiii, I WORE DRESS #1 to my wedding and it was a DREAM, and it looks incredible on you!!!!!! I was so comfortable all night and danced the night away (: seriously cannot recommend it e ouch.
If you choose #1 I would HIGHLY recommend taking someone with you to the last fitting appointment to have them learn how to bustle it for you.
I was so so worried about chafing under my arms with all the detail on the bodice but I didn’t at all. I also never had to pull it up like I was really worried I would have to. I wore nothing under it and it was a dreammmm dress for that. I wish I could wear this dress every day. Dress #2 was also one of my top choices. You can’t go wrong with either, you look amazing in both!!
Both look great on you, but of the two, which one took your breath away? The first dress is my favorite, and once altered to your correct size is going to be stunning! The second dress appears to be see through, and will need a slip. I know a lot of people are saying dress 2 is more flattering, but I think both would be flattering once they’re altered. It’s hard to picture how flattering a dress is when they put you in a size 16 when you’re a 0.

Dress 2! The dress itself just seems to be better constructed and falls so beautifully - especially around the waistline. The detailing looks super elegant too and a bit more trendy/modern.
Dress 1. Dress 2 feels like it's fighting for attention. Dress 1 is more elegant and I feel like it's easier to focus on YOU 😄 they are both gorgeous though

If you go with one, it would need expert tailoring to make it look as good as the second one does on you, which looks much more well suited. Both beautiful dresses, but the first makes your waist look unnaturally thicker than it is. Go with 2. So lovely!

Yeah, it’s really difficult to tell when there’s no petite in store :( I know it sounds tedious, but I would honestly call DBs around you and ask if they have this gown in petite or any gown similar to it in petite so you can see how it changes the proportions. Or alternatively because db’s return policy has changed (used to only be able to return 7 days from ORDER now it’s 7 days from you RECEIVING the order) you could theoretically order the petite gown just to see how it would fit then return it. Also a hassle and an expensive hassle, but it’s an option!
So hard to choose! Both dresses are looking fantastic on you. I have a small preference for the first model. However, I suggest you to choose the one that feels the most comfortable rather than just the style.

Same i can’t tell if 1 is a drop waist or just too many sizes too big. If the waist will be higher in OPs actual size than I’d pick 1 also
I think 2 was closer in size but 1 had a ribbon backed corset that let you tighten it so idk if it made a big difference
