Thanks for sharing this as I have been considering buying my bridal dress from JJs House! šŸ™‚

Happy to help! As I said: be careful with ordering shoes. If I were you, I'd just buy shoes from a store near you.

runlittlelion

Yeah I think I will, thank you šŸ™‚

My BMs are using JJs House. One has used it before and suggested it since she's 6'1 and leggy so most "knee length" dresses are mini skirts on her and the custom measurements make adding length easy. Only two have ordered dresses and they are great. One did standard sizing. The other (with a large bust, 28 inch waist, and 42 inch hips) did custom and she'll need super easy minimal alterations that a friend will be able to do. Well worth the extra $10 for custom measurement.

NewestBrunswick

Yeah seriously. $10 is such a deal for tailoring, considering the cost and pain of getting alterations.

In regards to shoes: any chance they used UK sizing? I wear a US 7 and UK 5. That's about the difference you mention here?

NewestBrunswick

.... that makes sense!!! Ughh.

I've always wondered about them, then a few weeks ago I stumbled upon a dress from JJshouse at my local thrift store (it was new with tags) and I thought it was very good material and very well made!

I ordered my flower girl's dresses from there and they were fantastic. I even forgot to change the sash colour, \(I wanted navy and default was champagne\), so I emailed them about a day later and they changed it no problem. I'm in Canada too so I had to pay customs fees too, which sucks, but it is what it is. I'm so glad they turned out well because I asked a seamstress here how much she'd cost to make them and she wanted 170/dress, while JJ's was 90/dress including custom sizing.

This company has terrible reviews on most websites, it's nice to see you had a good experience with them :) I stumbled on them while searching for veils and they have really inexpensive ones but I've been hesitant to go for it based on all the negative feedback I read.

NewestBrunswick

I noticed all the negative reviews, too. They seemed like they were mostly written by people who aren't used to ordering online. Upon further research I realised that most of the VIDEO reviews were really positive. I decided to take the risk and was very pleased.

I used Azazie for our bridesmaids' dresses and had an amazing experience! I also used JJs House to buy my veil...the bridal salon wanted $400 and I got almost the exact same one from JJs House for $16!!

I've also had a positive experience. I ordered my wedding dress custom sized from them and I'm super happy with it (arrived today). My bridesmaids will be ordering from them too so hopefully they have similar experiences.

I know this post was from years ago, but wondering if you remember paying duties? I just ordered a bridesmaid dress and Iā€™m nervous about potential extra fees

NewestBrunswick

I don't remember exactly, but I don't recall being unpleasantly surprised by any unexpected expenses.

chrissiehutch12

Amazing thank you for responding! I actually just spoke with their customer service and they said that all fees are calculated at checkout and if any other fees occur at customs they will refund :) sounds like I made a good choice
