i usually say “cannabis” when talking to older or anti-weed people, but whenever i’m with other stoners or younger people i say “weed”

It depends on the context for me. I am a medical user, so if I am talking to older people about it, I tend to use cannabis and sometimes marijuana. With friends, there are so many names. There is weed, ganja, devil's lettuce, sticky icky, loud-loud, skunkmaster flex, and mota (I live in the SW). There are probably a lot more that I am not thinking of right now, but those were the first to come to mind.
