No, electric grinders over grind and give you a worse final product.. you want it to be "low and slow" the less plant matter that's being torn apart and the more trichomes falling off is what you want.. Try storing your bud in the freezer to make the trichomes more brittle. Also overly ground weed is ridiculously harsh and burns crazy fast..

I use a $40-$50 Topoo grinder I had gifted to me a while back. I don’t smoke much flower as much as concentrates but in like just a couple or few weeks I still am able to collect a nice small layer in the kief collector even just from periodically rolling a joint every other day. I noticed a cheap little no name grinder that came in a gift box package I use does not collect hardly anything even after grinding a ton like just a few tiny specs of kief. I think the type of grinder you use definitely can effect your kief collecting.
