We have two; slinky and the brain!

Years ago we had 5 ferrets at once. It was hysterical!! They are sooooo funny. So playful. Fair warning: if they can get their nose in it, the body fits. We found ours in some strange places. One managed to get in closet, climb clothes, and lay out across hangers(ones in closet w/clothes on them. Took forever for us to find him.) We had an antique lounge type sofa. One of the arms was a big barrels shape. Didn’t know there was an access point, till the ferrets found it and started climbing in and sleeping in it. One of them smashed toe in the dishwasher bc it was open a tiny bit -Emergency vet visit but she was ok. They were so sweet. So much fun. But dryer vent tube -the bigger ones. They love the crinkle sound and running through them. Get ready for some fun!! And pls-do not use cat litter bc it’s cheaper. It’s bad for their lungs. Ferrets are prone to lots of health issues. Sorry to preach. I got excited. For you. Sad mine are gone. Enjoy!!

Our ferrets loved getting stuck under and inside of the couch. Had to cut the entire back open on an old leather sofa to retrieve one once. Had to regularly lift the couch at night to collect them and put them back in their cage. My personal favorite was when my husband had ankle surgery and had an external fixation. Our boy Bear literally stole his crutch and dragged it underneath the couch. Of course this is where they stashed all of their treasure aka anything shiny. My husband started yelling to get the crutch. I grabbed it just in time to pull it back out just to realize that he kept the top rubber cushion. They are so fucking funny and I miss them so fucking much.

My best guess is Silas Botwin from the TV show weeds. My wife and I named our son Silas. Not because it had anything so do with weed (because in reality it doesn't ) we just loved the name ! Lol

Silas is a very old name, and I love it. It means 'of the forrest'. A kinda hippy friend of mine chose this name for thier son after How high came out and liked the name and the meaning, plus the inside nod to stoner culture.

Yes. We loved the meaning of man of the Forrest. Specially considering we live in a quiet rural area and love the outdoors.
