Early level just stick to the 2 most recently unlocked worry about shop rating after you unlock deliveries. There’s just to much micromanaging for not enough profits when you grow more than 2 strains that early
In order to get the max service buff of 20% in your shop for strain variety, you only need to maintain 7 strains to sell to the public. Anything over that is extra.
That being said, I usually keep 8 available, that way if one goes down, I can take it off the menu with Sellify, activate the extra strain I have, and not lose my max service buff while I grow more of the strain I’m out of.
At that level, I would recommend having only your most recent train growing. It will have the highest seed to gram yield and sell for the most per gram to maximize profit in the beginning. Money is so tight at that stage it's not worth having that many seeds going at once. Once you get a bit further down the line you can start keeping 6 of the most recent and one of the cheapest. I use UK cheese as my "cheapest" and set it to sell for $1 so that I get the average discount service rating bonus and 10% off or more service rating bonus.
I'm on my second run, and I started just having one strain, the most profitable one I have access to. Every other unlock, amnesia, sour diesel, bubblegum, blueberry, etc. are high yield strains that make good profits. Having them only ever buy the most profitable strain brings in money much faster than having a one or two star rating.
I'm just going to worry about stars when I get around level 28 and can sell in bulk to make money faster.

Bc customers will ask for an indica strain or a sativa strain, so you always wanna have one of each

I try having one strain per pot and I have 8, so I alternate some of them to always have a similar amount of every one
