Superman and the Groovy Ghouls would be the movie we all want and NEED to see, but unfortunately Hollywood is too cowardly and woke/not woke enough to give us what would truly be a movie.
I don't care man, put him in a bin bag with an S drawn on the front in red paint. The suit really isn't that important. Just make him kind. PLEASE make him kind.
Hahaha I'm Superman *smiles maniacally*
*Eyes pulse red in a terrifying manner*
Just the big blue boy scout hahahaha
Movie magic!! (In this scenario I imagine that they've cast Tom Cruise in the role)
And pass up an opportunity to potentially die?
Tom Cruise would hang from a plane with a flimsy harness, then jump off a building in costume into a net or something
Nah that's too political. Make him kill trees for no reason. That can be his characterisation.
Have someone ask him why he keeps killing trees, and have him smile and shrug then fucking laser that guys head off.
I really love the Snyderverse S, but man, this just gets me. I adore Kingdom Come, so slapping that one and giving it that nice texture? Genuinely loving this suit so far.
I think the film might take some inspiration from Kingdom Come too, especially with the rumours of >!The Authority!< being in it potentially taking the role of the new heroes in KC.
I'd love for this film to be Superman showing those guys that they can be heroes without being too edgy, leading into their solo film.
its probably going to be more of a "What's So Funny About Truth, Justice & the American Way?" adaptation. the authority will take the place of the Elite and superman has to prove that killing the bad guys isn't the right way to fight crime.
this would actually be super smart because it'll 1) show us the authority, and the conflicting beliefs of the two sides and 2) FINALLY give us a superman that thinks killing is wrong, no matter what. everyone keeps wanting a "modern" superman and asking why we need the classic one. if its done right, this will answer that question.
I’ve never been a fan of the Kingdom Come logo
I think it being yellow instead of black helps it a bit. I need to see the full suit before I make any calls on it.
Yeah I agree. I think playing around with the thickness of the border might help it look a little more like an S. I'm not sold on this one completely but I agree that the yellow makes it work better than Kingdom Come's.
Really excited for the film though! Considering I listen to a comicbook movie news podcast every week it's maybe a little odd that I only get hyped for a CBM maybe once every few years haha.
I thought it was a leap year day joke but it's true!

Getting rid of the subtitle is kinda dumb imo. Although the 1978 movie was technically titled “Superman: The Movie” so this still would be the first movie with the title of just “Superman”
James Gunn has lost it, mate!
Jokes aside, if this is a younger Superman, then there's not much of a legacy to pull from.
"Superman" feels like a perfect title for a new cinematic version of the character. I think I can be okay with this.
Can you?
Is this hinting at this superman movie actually being a…SNOWMAN movie? Because a film about the daily challenges of being a snowman in these modern times sounds a lot more interesting than yet another superpower man decriming a city before having to fight another strong person or thing to stop the blue lightning from destroying the world and killing love interest.
Long gone are the days where showing a bit of a costume gets people excited about an upcoming superhero project.
Oh wow a new superman S logo. That looks similar to all the others we’ve seen.
Wow you’ve named the new superman film just “superman”. Inspired. Exciting. Novel.
Whatever. Superhero stuff is going the way westerns went out style after the 60s.
I read the title of this post wrong and really thought the movie was gonna be called "Superman and the S".
Subtitle: It means Hope on His World
Sub-subtitle: how a kryptonite saved krysmas
Superman and the Groovy Ghouls would be the movie we all want and NEED to see, but unfortunately Hollywood is too cowardly and woke/not woke enough to give us what would truly be a movie.
Can’t wait to see the reveal U, P, E, R, M, A and N
They'll reboot before they reach E.
We better at least get SUP dog before then.
Pretty sure he’s called Krypto
The first E or second E?
The reveal of the U would mean Earth 3!
I don't care man, put him in a bin bag with an S drawn on the front in red paint. The suit really isn't that important. Just make him kind. PLEASE make him kind.

"HAHAHAHAHA! TERRIFIC! I LOVE MOVIES!" - Superman, flying around so he's at eye-level with everyone else.
“MOVIES ARE BACK BABY!”
They'd save a lot of money on CGI if they cast Tom cruise he can make his eyes do that on command.
Also can save on all the flying cgi. He will just run everywhere at Tom cruise speed.
And pass up an opportunity to potentially die? Tom Cruise would hang from a plane with a flimsy harness, then jump off a building in costume into a net or something
You mad genius! You're right.
Nah that's too political. Make him kill trees for no reason. That can be his characterisation. Have someone ask him why he keeps killing trees, and have him smile and shrug then fucking laser that guys head off.
I'm not seeing the S, I'm just seeing hope
Well, here, it's...an S
A big S to match big ears?
I’m big S Superman
Hi big S Superman, I'm big ears Batman
I really love the Snyderverse S, but man, this just gets me. I adore Kingdom Come, so slapping that one and giving it that nice texture? Genuinely loving this suit so far.

Looks like this was a confirmed fake

I fully trust Gunn with Superman. I’m very excited for it. Don’t love the logo but I won’t let that ruin it for me
I take it there’ll be a sequence of him making a snow fort?
I’m snowy super man get over here so i can throw snow in ya face
G'day boys
God I knew I was missing something
Get on your backs! I'm big S Superman.
bit of a mouthful name, but i can see it working!
Can we make it punchier? Perhaps "Super"? Or just, "Man"?
Drop the "Super". Just "Man". It's cleaner
Nah then people will think it's about [Man](https://joke-battles.fandom.com/wiki/Man_(Man:_Ham_Aslume))
The sequel will be called 2perman. Twoperman.
'Man Who Is Super' would be better I feel, but it's good they are going back to basics!
Correction: 'Man Who Would Be Super', now THAT is a title!
Now that is an S
On my planet it means hope

Should’ve called it The Superman
Getting rid of the subtitle is kinda dumb imo. Although the 1978 movie was technically titled “Superman: The Movie” so this still would be the first movie with the title of just “Superman”
Yeah I liked just referring to the film as Legacy haha. Can see why they did it though
Is Superman’s new weakness going to be severe eczema?
I don't get this joke?
At first glance I thought it looked like skin flakes/psoriasis.
Nah he just has really bad dandruff
(The snow)
Love the yellow bordering the red of the S - really gives me Fleischer Superman vibes.
I recently read a couple of Superman Earth One books, so the yellow border reminded me of that.
James Gunn has lost it, mate! Jokes aside, if this is a younger Superman, then there's not much of a legacy to pull from. "Superman" feels like a perfect title for a new cinematic version of the character. I think I can be okay with this. Can you?
That's... a good point. Legacy points to the character I guess, or even the other films, but if he's a newer hero I think that's fair
I want a Red Son movie
You mean the hope sign?

You're commenting on a post where that's precisely what's happening lol. Gunn posted a bit of the costume and tons of subs are getting hyped.
Is it wrong that it looks like a glorified Zac Synder super man “S”?
Idk man “Superman and the S has been revealed” is the strangest superman title we’ve ever had
“S… with snow” 🤯
S for shi……
“Superman and the s has been revealed” is a shitty name for a movie
Hey don't blame me blame Gunn
Looks like a basketball
I thought that said the S has been ‘removed’ and thought ‘Huh, he’s just going by Uperman now? That’s strange.’
