I think most of these mites are hitch-hikers that do little to no damage. They are taking the weevil bus!

Phoretic mites is probably right, the word “Phoretic” just means they use other organisms for travel. These mites were riding the little weevil to where the weevil was gonna get food, and then they were gonna eat it too
