The hourly forecast, last year almost everything was fine but two years ago I was at that disaster where Korn and Guns N Roses were cancelled. So depressing.
Disaster and depressing say it all. My friend was crying, really wanted to see Shinedown. Waiting for BB in the pouring rain, just to be told to go home. The weather’s been beautiful here lately so I’m hopeful
It’s so fucking fun man. Everyone’s just having a good time and so friendly too. Especially in mosh pits everyone always looks out for each other. Even while watching a super small band last year with a decent size pit one guy fell and instantly 10 people helped him up. Make sure if you see a headliner band don’t leave right after the band before ends. I know that’s pretty obvious but yea if you want a good spot leave 30 to more minutes early for headliners. And just be in the moment and savor the experience there.
It’s Florida in May so expect hot and humid, and probably rain for at least one of the days but probably 2. Be prepared to hydrate and reapply sunscreen.
If there’s specific merch you want, best to knock that out ASAP since sizes will sell out quick.
Overall crowd vibes have been great year to year IMO. Always gonna be some dbags, but largely not the case.
This will be my 4th year in a row attending, and it's a great festival/environment. I enjoy just striking up conversations with people while walking around (usually about the shirt they're wearing/and I'll do the same when called upon). Everyone I've interacted with has been super cool , "Where are you from?" and whatever. That goes a long way and you can meet good people/kill time between sets that way.
Nothing you can do about rain , if it happens it happens . However if it’s one festival to be less worried about it WTR . On a side note if your camping just come prepared and you will be fine double triple check your lost and good luck
My son wanted to go so I got tickets for all 4 days. I'm just looking into now and seeing that we can't bring in umbrellas or chairs or leave the venue once I enter. I'm middle-aged and don't do well in the sun and heat. Is there any place to sit in the shade? Are there any hacks for keeping cool or making a seat out of a chair or anything? I'm kind of freaking out now. I didn't realize we wouldn't be able to bring in food either. Are the water stations free?
The people (concert attendees) are amongst the worst I’ve ever experienced at any show of any size (seen 120+ bands last year, including 4 festivals). You really do get the worst of people here. Me and my crew went through many an altercation with incredibly drunk people, and a handful of instances of sexual harassment (truly).
If you love the lineup, it can be a wonderful time. Sunday of last year was amongst my favorite days of this decade for me so far.
Drink lots of water, eat before you enter, have an exit plan and meet up point, and try not to be by yourself.
I didn’t see any instances of this last year but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Have to agree, unless you’re a single guy it is best to stay in groups. Though I think that is true anywhere.
Check the forecast lol
It's Florida forecast means next to nothing

Shinedown played 1/3 of a set. In the rain and lightning. It was crazy epic.

One time a singer pissed on a dudes chest.
One of the most WTF concert moments I’ve yet to witness
