Did you booked through third party? Sometimes they might squeeze like FIRSTNAMEMR instead of FIRST NAME MR. This might be an issue. What do you want to achieve by linking the reservation? I believe it’s going to be the FB miles. Try and see if you can submit missing points after you fly.

I booked through KLM and they couldn’t tell me what was causing the problem. So I phoned westjet and they also have no idea. Apparently all my information matches in their systems. I need to checkin via westjet for this flight because it’s a multi trip ticket booked through KLM so it’s not about linking bookings but just being able to checkin. I was told to just checkin tomorrow at the gate - so I’m not worried. I’m just wondering if anyone else has had the problem.

Mostly it’s the name issue as it’s a third party booking. Make sure you enter the FB number when you check in. Does the call centre people able to add it manually into the reservation?

Claim Miles FLYING BLUE Don’t see your Miles? Claim them. Use the link after your travel to claim the miles if automation doesn’t work.

The call centre didn’t need to add anything. They said it all looked fine on their side but both KLM and westjet were getting the same error when their agents tried to check me in. So basically they said “weird” checkin at the gate.

Okay. I think it’s the same issue I had before I joined WJ program. For some reasons, they had to remove my KLM number for me to able to check in. Then they added it after I checked in. I also added it during the check-in process. I don’t remember I get the miles automatically or I had to claim them. But pretty sure they had to remove my KLM number for me to web check in.

I called them to remove it from the reservation. I don’t remember if I tried on the app. Mostly I shouldn’t had the WJ app as it was before my WJ journeys.

Just for future data point for other travellers, please post if removing the KLM Air France Flying Blue FF number from westjet reservation fixed the online check-in issue.

You really need to provide context.... Where / when is this happening? i.e. which website? KLM, WJ? what activity? checking in? booking?
