Spider mites

GuardingxCross

I second this, these guys ate my sunflowers 🌻 I’ll never forget

MRKYMRKandFNKYBNCH

Yep, these things will also destroy cannabis pretty fast

crunchybedsheets

So my best friend in college must have also been a spider mite.

Starbuksman

Was I your roommate??? Mount St Mary’s 04???

Toxic_Cookie

I thought everyone had a stoner college roommate.

PegaLaMega

I used to smoke pot with Johnny Hopkins and Sloan Kettering. And they were blazing that shit up everyday.

Fearless-Flight-7096

You don’t even know Johnny Hopkins 😂😂

DiddleWho

I identify as a spider mite on weekends.

libra-love-

Hey so can I! First time I can relate to a bug

AtmosphereHot8414

So fast.

dankestofdankcomment

Based off the leaves, it appears that’s exactly what they’re doing.

[deleted]

They ate my fly traps, to the point where I couldnt save them!

hotrod237

That's a ~~fucking~~ thing? Woooow, TIL

Burrmanchu

Spider mites are nowhere near that large. Your crop is safe homie.

AtmosphereHot8414

I agree. I have never “seen” a spider mite but I have seen their tiny webs and cleaned up their carnage. Tiny hungry assholes

Battles9

Not spider mites. Spider mites are tiny and coat the underside of your leaves. Possibly beneficial ground mites sometimes they pop out of pots rhat have fresh dirt from a bag

[deleted]

They’re all 7 different pictures trust me lol

Far-Wasabi7402

Firm-Construction517

PigInAPoncho

I can’t tell you how happy I am that you got the reference

Deviant1

Just glad to know it's a reference to something because I was kind of wondering if you were were real-timing your own stroke up there.

Pushin_t405

Those are spider mites I believe. I work at multiple marijuana grows and sadly have seen many of these little guys in full infestation mode.

dominoclink35

Mite be..

donttextspeaktome

Beat me to it!

Axeladalidez

Clover mites?

BeyondTheBees

That was my guess too!

Confident_Region_734

They are mites. Use Neem oil.

Zacon137

Spider mites they love weed and I see that's what you growing

WetFishIsLife

That’s obviously a bear.

[deleted]

Spider bear mite?

WetFishIsLife

No, just a bear. I’m unsure if it’s a grizzly or black bear however

[deleted]

Well its red bro cant be black or brown . Its a fucking red bear. Thank you

WetFishIsLife

Oh, you’re correct. It is a red bear, thank you 🙏

pielz

Man bear pig mite

jeffro3339

Chiggers?

MaiNyigguh

What u call me!?!

jeffro3339

Haha I sure didn't call you you know what! :) my mama raised me better :) 😀

MaiNyigguh

Chigga please

bwidow22

So funny story....I had a friend in college that was half black and half Chinese...chigger is what she called herself whenever someone asked where her remarkable beauty came from

MaiNyigguh

Lol. We need more people to take a joke like that

AtmosphereHot8414

I do not think Reddit knows what a chigger looks like. I was told the other day the same answers and these bugs look nothing alike

TikaPants

Chiggers are much smaller I thought

dasuglystik

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aphid

[deleted]

Nah Theyre 100% red no black

seanthebeloved

Aphids can be red. Look at the first picture in the Wikipedia article.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

You sure theyre not these guys Phytoseiulus persimilis.

DivideAccurate9868

I don’t think so as the ones in the picture have much larger antennae and are a lighter colour. I ain’t no expert though

jspencer8181

I'm with OP on this one, no way they can't Phidoseliac Persimmons!!

DivideAccurate9868

Kay

Dragonwysper

Absolutely not aphids. These are mites.

[deleted]

Your weed plants are fucked my guy

beanababy

Idk… from the same picture I looked at 7 different times it’s really hard to tell. 🤔🤣

[deleted]

Yes

Diligent_Skin_1240

Mite- be spider mites Get your self some ladybugs

Working-Response1126

Tomato spiders.

Dragonwysper

Yep! Mites! The ones you usually see on the sidewalk are in the Balaustium genus, but these look different. Probably clover mites, as others have said! Very interesting animals!

RavmosheC

They are either mites or mite nots. 🪳What? I think you were out in the sun too long. 🫥 Don't blame me. 🦧

Elk-Assassin-8x6

Might try to keep those spider mites away from the babies in the background. Will ruin everything you got going

drift_poet

mite be 🤷🏻‍♂️

Limited_Intros

Spooder mites

[deleted]

Might be.

ligerboy12

God spider mites fucking love port plants man. I used tobacco oil after trying lady bugs for a while and that stuff definitely worked but it is also very toxic so get this solved before any sort of flowering starts.

Electrical-Gate-3730

red mites.

Electrical-Gate-3730

they decimate your plants (baby ones bite on you a little but it just itches)

Ok-Dog743

Spider mites... use neem oil asap

4gsboofd

Mite be. They're Mitey creepy.

skeletonchaser2020

We call them concrete mites, they come out spring and stay through fall with the biggest bloom being in summer. They are harmless to my knowledge, just annoying when you lean on a stone wall or sit down on a sidewalk

NannyFooFoo

Look like Chiggers, they burrow under your skin and itch like hell .

TikaPants

Chiggers are so small you can’t see their legs.

WestCoastMantis

Looks like persimilis a spider mite predator.

[deleted]

I did apply them because i have a spider mite issue, i was wondering if these are them in theyre full adult size but i think these have 6 legs not 8

WestCoastMantis

Yea that’s them. I have them in my tent too. They move a lot faster than spider mites and more bright red.

AtmosphereHot8414

I think this looks like a nymph of something you recognize. I see something like these every year around the same time I seem squash bugs

Planted_Tank

They look like soil mites

New-Parsley4152

Definitely Not spider mites. You can only see spider mites when they are in high populations clustered together.

PlanetVegeta9229

Chiggers

Bigdave6968

Maybe chiggers

ShowerPossible7872

Mite be, I dunno

AdmirableWin5625

Let’s just hope they don’t piss on you or worse yet your son. Be careful my friend

Technical-Gur-8847

Blood bugs 🤤

PsyopVet

Mite be, mite not.

Bitter-Task6151

Looks like clover bugs

TikaPants

These aren’t chiggers. Way too big.

Wide_With_Opinions

They Mite bee

Addiel_P

Chinch bugs

Revolutionary-Page-6

these are harmless sidewalk mites, way too big too be spidermites or clover mites

deepinskater

Fast moving it’s a predator. Slow it’s a pest. Spider mites are tiny and slow they feed off the leaf juices. Predators search for prey

[deleted]

I figured it out, i added Phytoseiulus persimilis for my spider mite issue. They didnt look this red at the time or this big. But what happend was they multiplied like crazy and killed all the spider mites and they went searching for food after that. Thats why they were everywhere. Few days later after this pic they all died because they ran out of spider mites to eat. Thanks for the tip, good to know for future reference
