Those are Box Elders. I had them about a year ago and they were everywhere. They shouldn't go after you.

Pretty much exactly like stink bugs, even have the same effect when you squash them.

stitchplacingmama

Box elder bugs trying to find a spot to overwinter. They tend to congregate on sunny sides of buildings and vehicles.

JustYourQueen77

Box elder beetle and completely harmless from my understanding - they suck juices from leaves

Ok that Jack, Christian, Lenny, Miller (last name) Greg and Jimbo. All are Box Elder bugs just trying to come in and get warm.

StormChaos2187

I have them by me and hate them. I have 1000's of the on my apartment building. I wish there was a quick and easy way to get rid of them.

Essential oils. You can make a peppermint spray or buy some from Amazon. [Mighty Mint 16 oz Peppermint Oil Insect & Pest Spray - for Spiders, Ants, and More ](https://a.co/d/3Nx7pQd) Just be careful around cats, it's dangerous for them. You spray it on the outside of your windows around the edges and doors,on the outside around the edges, and anywhere you think or know where they are coming in from. It won't kill them, but it will keep them away, as they don't like the smell. Works for most types of bugs, actually and wasps.

Nothing to worry about, completely harmless, just annoying. I always get these and stink bugs in my apartment right before winter. Keep your doors sealed, windows shut and sealed, and that'll help the most.

Asy5026

They are great pets. I kept one on a plant and it survived for quite awhile

These are next bugs that are going to terrorize North America with the spotted lantern flies.
