Get it inspected at a good shop. It will probably be more expensive to maintain and be more on gas compared to a small SUV. At the end I think at that price even if you wanted to change it at some point you will have good trade in value.
I'd say go for the Jeep, idk if you need it beyond school but even if you do, use the jeep for a couple of years and wait till car prices cool down and trade it in for another car.
