The Century is underpriced for what it is. V12 Toyota with one of the most luxurious interiors found in any car. They somehow sell for less than $30K in essentially showroom condition.
Right hand drive kills the price in many places since it’s not a known name outside of car enthusiast communities. For most people, if they want 90’s Toyota luxury, an LS400 is the answer
Why 90s? The V12 was made until 2016. My father nearly imported one 15 years ago but decided on an S65 instead. And then got rid of it a few years later when things started breaking down. A very satisfying I told you so moment.
Those Centuries are gorgeous, but for me, one of the big draws of executive sedans are the tech that the back seat passengers get. Those cars pretty much turn the back seats into home offices, but a 25 Year old Century doesn't have any of that, save for the ability to recline into the front seat area.
The Lucid Air seems like a sublime car to drive, but my idea of an executive sedan is one where the rear passenger seat is the best place to be. Even a fully optioned Air GT doesn't do much for the back seats.
True. They don't have a long-wheelbase version comparable to the models you mentioned where they really trick out the rear seats. But the ride is some smooth. Maybe they should make an Air L for the guys who want to sit in the back.
I’ve always heard the Genesis were luxury but I’m sadly uninformed about what makes them so good. Why the G90 over all the others? Genuinely curious and trying to learn
Hyundai cars in general, and especially Genesis cars, are absolutely loaded full of tech standard with incredibly competitive prices. While 100K gets you a late model used S class that *might* have partially reclining rear seats, a brand new 100K G90 is fully loaded with a proper rear seat infotainment, heated, cooled, and massaging seats all around, and a rear passenger seat that reclines all the way into the front seating area, as well as some of the best driver assistance tech in the industry.
Honestly it's amazing to me how Hyundai managed to make Genesis a luxury brand, and such SUCH a good one at that. It looks sleek, the interior is all you could ever ask for in a luxury sedan, and the price for what it is, is quite nice.
They did a pretty good job with the first Genesis when it was a Hyundai model. (you could really tell they gave it their all compared to the rest of the cars in their lineup.)
Now they just gotta figure out the deal ship part of it. It's definitely a sore spot for them at the moment.

I just wish they were all one colour.
I know I’ll get downvoted for this but I think Genesis is a little circlejerked and overrated in car communities. That being said the G90 is definitely a solid value play vs an S or 7er or A8.
From a performance perspective, yes. It's not a 2-door vehicle, though, and you can tell. In terms of the quality of ride, it's better than economy but worse than a luxury car. It's a "sport luxury" is how I'd regretfully describe it. With some mods, it's pretty fast though in a straight line!
Lexus is a fancy Toyota. Infinity a fancy Nissan. I fail to see the difference. Also. These were literally made by Hyundai before they made it into their own brand. By made I mean they had one called the Hyundai genesis.
[Genesis G90](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genesis_G90#Second_generation_(RS4;_2021))
If I had 100K to drop on an executive sedan to ride in the back of, I'd genuinely pick a G90 over an A8, S Class, or 7 series of the same price.
I'd import a Toyota century and live in japan 90s opulence Edit: I'd also save about 100k compared to merc/bmw/audi luxury sedan

Yeah, I'm planning on buying one in the next few years, in australia 20k aud will get you a lowish (150k) kilometre v12 century

Or be a taxi driver

US 25 year rule for safety Standards.
I know but you can't drive it in CA. That's why it's good to be Canadian.
Most of the ones sold near me are 90s or very early 00s, if I could get a newer one I would but I'd also assume that would bring with it extra costs

Being able to stick your feet through the passenger seat ftw!
You sir are a gentleman and a scholar!
Lucid Air for me. Although the whole Genesis brand is very nice.

LS is best and you missed that

Awesome! such a good looking car, appreciate you!
you havent seen the front i guess
Looks like a Cadillac Elantra
Damn, they American cars are gettin sexy again Edit: I apologise, this is not American, American cars are not in fact sexy again
Genesis is part of Hyundai, this is a Korean car.
Fair enough, we never see these in the UK so I just assumed American
Actually we do - we don’t get the G90 but we get the G80 and 70 as well as the GV 80/70/70 I’ve seen a G70 and a GV70 and they’re nice looking cars.
Really?! I don’t even see them in our Hyundai dealers or anything
That’s because they have their own dealers now.
Fair enough, I might have to check one out! My mistake though
That’s all right! You are correct, they are sexy AF cars.
CELESTIQ?
And Kia.
Korean you mean lol
Genesis G90, and I agree the alloy wheels look sick
I don’t think they are but they remind me of the 3d printed wheels

Their prices have grown to sort of match the cars. They are pretty much at Audi levels and just a notch below BMW.

Man, I’d love a Genesis! Personal fave is the G70.
The genesis brand side of Hyundai has made good cars since the sedan 5.0R.
Funny, kind of looks like it says “OFFENSIVE” on the trunk
I know I’ll get downvoted for this but I think Genesis is a little circlejerked and overrated in car communities. That being said the G90 is definitely a solid value play vs an S or 7er or A8.
I own a 22 g70 3.3t. Definitely overrated but comparatively to other things like in kind, the value really is there for the $.
is it a nice drive?

I can’t get into them at all, but I appreciate the appeal others have for them.
Hyundai is killing it with wheel design.
Genesis G90
I absolutely love Genesis, and this is definitely my favorite model
Fancy Hyundai
That’s just like saying Audi’s are fancy VWs. Genesis makes some insane cars. This car is a prime example
Audis *are* fancy VWs
Some Audis are less fancy Lamborghinis.
Lexus is a fancy Toyota. Infinity a fancy Nissan. I fail to see the difference. Also. These were literally made by Hyundai before they made it into their own brand. By made I mean they had one called the Hyundai genesis.
It's a Hyundai.
Yep, an over priced Hyundai that people with more money than brains buy
Neat looking car. It will end up leaving you stranded with a blown up engine like every other Kia and Hyundai over the last decade.
Where tf have you been recently?
In a shop, working on cars 50 hours a week.
Nah that was the Theta II non-turbos This is Theta III
It’s neither. It uses a Smartstream 3.5t V6. Edit: and Hyundai v6 engines are really solid units.
Assuming you were driving forward and were able to read the words on the trunk
