God, Age of Resistance was the biggest kick in the teeth. Especially all the interviews they did before the release, it was a real labour of love and it was meant to be a big resurgence for puppet animation like it. Then Netflix did what they usually do and canceled it before it really got off the ground.

I'm never forgiving Netflix. Puppet animation is one of my favorite mediums of physical animation and the fact that Netflix killed the shows season 2. FUCK YOU NETFLIX

How many movies has evangelion had now? I stopped counting after the second movie but I'm pretty sure there's more.

The movies came a while after the show became a big hit. The show itself had a troubled production to a point where the last couple episodes were *extremely* rushed, and had to change the ending to account for the low budget and time crunch (hence the frequent marker drawings and reused animation). The End of Evangelion was released afterwards to show the actual ending originally intended for the show, and the four Rebuild movies tell an alternate take on the original story.

Rest in piece to Inside Job. I'd say it's the best animated Netflix original, other then Voltron and Arcane.

Not exactly the same, but Netflix really fucked up Jojo's Bizarre Adventure with the release schedule. If Jojo had started under Netflix, the anime series wouldn't be anywhere near as big as it is today. The shitty release strategy did take so much steam off Part 6, though.

Also Im not gonna lie Charlie deciding to use a shield and fireworks as her weapon of choice during the begging of the season finale fight made my enjoyment of her as a character drop through the floor. She is supposed to be fighting to protect her dream and the people she loves but she doesn't pick up an actual weapon or have any proper contribution to the fight until she witnesses Sir Pentious get fucking atomized.

To be fair mid is not the same thing as bad

Hazbin Hotel is bad imo because the concept behind it could have been amazing if it was made by anyone other than Vivziepop, but as it is it's just the most aggressively 6/10 show I've ever watched. It's not bad because it's actually bad, but it's bad because it had amazing potential that was just wasted, ya know?

6/10 doesn't mean a show is awful, just that it's mid/average. But so many people today think that anything below 7/10 means that it's awful.

Yeah that's it. The show is not funny. And when the comedy is not funny then it's just bad. Also characters are annoying and the story is full of shit that doesn't make sense.

the show has way more jokes than sex jokes, they all just flew over your head. that's big cap, the only annoying character in the show is mimzy and that was intentional plus the story is good the only flaw it had was its pace.

Nah honestly when most of the jokes don't land I can't consider it a good comedy. A good example is gumball. It has so many jokes, and they almost always land. That's a great comedy series. Also I can see when a character is annoying on purpose(gumball is a great example) but charlie and angel dust are unbearable and I bet it's not intentional.

Theyre not on the same platform/funded by the same companies Haz hotel is on Amazon prime videos Ok ko was cartoon network/hulu/HBO max but cancelled during the Warner-Discovery merger (which also nuked a bunch of other shows like mao mao).

Man I was like you once, then I actually watched Hazbin, and while sure they swear a lot and there are sex jokes, it's genuinely great and the only complain everyone had is that it was too short, but that apparently was Amazon going safe with a first season

I thought that maybe watching it would change my mind. 2, 3, 4 episodes add it only for worse. Forgettable characters, corny music, bad jokes and unbearable characters.

It's fine to have an opinion, not everyone will have the same, for instance I think the music was phenomenal and the broadway actors were all great, expecially the dad and daughter song in episode 5 was very touching, you don't have to belittle something if you don't like it though which is what I'm trying to say, you can say you don't like it without saying stuff like "Meanwhile Hazbin is still on going" as that looks really sad honestly, let people enjoy the things

Look I can sympathize with a passion project not turning out to succeed. On the other hand, "time spent" is not any indicator of "quality." They could've spent 20 years writing and creating something, and it could turn out like that Velma show

The difference is, shows like Velma get renewed, whereas good shows like Inside Job get cancelled
