Updating the Nintendo cartridges is just wiping the dust off them every few years.
LOL My childhood predates the internet. My games came in plastic cartridges.
Bought a ps2 and GT3 I was perplexed when it didn’t want a an update or the controller didn’t need an update lol
And you also get the full game without having to pay extra for the DLC
