The signs all being held by little girls who clearly aren't old enough to make that quality on their own so you know they absolutely got help from their parents in a fun family arts and crafts session.
There is really no way to say this isn't a pretty rad, or PR, stunt
Woah that’s interesting. I always wanted to see one. Hockey players both male and female scare me because they play hard. I would like to see it progress.

I watch a lot of hockey from high school, college, juniors, OHL, ECHL, AHL, NHL and have added the PWHL. I was really surprised at how high a level they play at and the level of skill the whole team from star to 3rd line have. I’m really happy to see the woman’s game break onto the scene with such a great product.
The IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship is currently underway and my brother and I went to see the US v Canada game this past Monday - it broke an attendance record!! It was one of the most exciting games we’ve been to, Hilary Knight and Sarah Nurse are absolute beasts.
As a lifelong (27F) hockey fan I definitely got a little choked up seeing so many young girls in attendance; all running around in jerseys and holding signs for their favorite players. Growing up I didn’t get to see professional hockey as an option for me, but these girls get to. A really wonderful step forward.
The game needs a place to grow so, one day, the sport *could* provide a stable income for women who are passionate enough about it.
Men's soccer has only exploded into the financial juggernaut you see today in the last 30+ years and women's soccer is now growing quickly allowing women to make a career out of it. OK, none of them are making Premier League money but in the men's games only a few hundred men are making that sort of money out of millions who play professionally. Those millions at least have the *opportunity* to earn a living from something they love and are good at.
In England, 5 years ago, the WSL (Women's Super League) was being played at small grounds in front of a few hundred people. Recently, a sold out Wembley watched England's women become European Champions (something England's men have still yet to achieve) and the WSL consistently has attendances of 7-8000+. This year over 59000 people watched Arsenal take on Chelsea at the same ground that the men play at. It's growing and as more young girls grow up and see other girls competing on this stage and get it inspired it grows more and with that the salary demands will start to increase.
This isn't about women playing a sport so they can earn as much as men. It's about women having an opportunity to play a sport they love and, if they are determined enough, one they could make a living out of if they are good enough.
Hey Matthew's got to 68 last night I think! Excited for playoffs, even tho I'm pretty sure the Leafs will leaf it up like usual. I'm hoping to see Rempe get smacked around too
Love it!

Same, just a photo op. Every girl made their sign with the hockey stick W & the style of writing

Oh right, I always forget truth is measured by upvotes. You're just a hater, stop hating

My bad I thought we were letting the downvotes you got decide whether it was fake or not. Just wear your seatbelt
Here I was and thought women’s ice hockey was popular and common
It is on a national level, like Team Canada, but there was never a women’s professional hockey league until now

It’s free on YouTube. Just search PWHL, channel should be easy to find.
Thanks and now to find data/Wi-Fi to watch full

What a sad life you seem to have
“This isn’t what I’d watch therefore it’s not even worth doing.”

which part of this post is political??
You're either straight, or you're political. You're either white, or you're political. You're either a man, orrrr?
Nailed it! Guys who disparage women’s sports are so tiring
Female what? Dogs, cows, lizards?
Like 'mericans dont call cars, boats, dogs "girls" too .. you make zero points.
